They charge a ridiculous first months rent rather than a security deposit then still have the gall to charge you if you don't perfectly clean the house or apartment when you leave. There was some marker on one of the walls when we left that we asked if it was ok and they said they were painting it anyways so don't worry about it. Then we get a $300 dollar bill for a paint job a few weeks later. Terrible customer service and terrible company policies.

Charged me for damages I had on my move-in sheet and lied about making repairs. I showed them the proof from the move-in sheet and provided phone records from when I called about previous damages. Goes to show you that even if you record everything and take pictures, you still need to pay for a lawyer.
Terrible. If you are a student find another property. The low rent and proximity to campus is not worth the headache. If you do rent expect no privacy and slow response to any maintenance calls and make sure to ask about the following. In shared buildings check for thin walls and ask about any history of pipes leaking. If you are renting a house ask about the insulation and ask if any previous tenants called about mold. If in a complex ask if they pave the snow or salt the roads as well as how many tenants have reported damage to personal property within the unit.
This place extorts and has utilizes shady practices! Please take it from me and chose another place to rent from!
Awful. The employees don't care what you get, or if you get anything at all. On our "tour", the agent broke into three houses that were currently being rented(she had a key of course, but took them not answering the phone as an "ok, come on over"), saying "I hope no one walks out of the shower again". AGAIN? I would never allow an agency to trespass in my living quarters, in housing that was horribly maintained, and then tell you to double the first month's rent upfront (not a deposit, we checked. You simply don't get that money back). Over all, never would i ever recommend someone to Investment Realty.
This agent company is extremely stupid. So sad I cannot rate it less than one star. To every one need to rent in Rolla: stay away from them if you could. They will find any reason to take money from your pocket. They may take forever to come to fix things in your apt. If they come, good luck, then they will charge you more than $10 for a light bulb. And the bulb they replaced worked for another two weeks then died. Some of their stuffs are unbelievable liars. They came in, took pictures with smile on their face. Then within one week, you will got a mail about how terrible your apt is, and the fine, and a claim of their right to sue. In the letter they repotted had saw bug bodies in the house. OMFG, if there was a bug body there, that could only be the one knocked and in. Any way, NEVER rent from them.
My son, in 2011, and a friend's daughter, in the fall of 2012, had the misfortune of renting from Investment Realty. The apartments were not clean when they moved in, were quickly infested with roaches and bedbugs, had non-operating heating systems in winter, and non-responsive management from Investment Realty.If you look at the ratings on this page and click on the rater, they either have only one rating or they rate on the the same five businesses and they ALL updated their ratings on the same date.Stay away from this business.
