Established in 1881, The Rogers Police Department works to safeguard the lives and property of residents, businesses and visitors, as well as maintain social law and order. It works with a team of more than 95 sworn officers and over 40 civilian employees. The department serves nearly 49,000 citizens. The Rogers Police Department s Special Tactics and Response Team (STAR STAR) offers risk warrant services, the execution of drug search warrants, dealing with armed and barricaded subjects, and hostage rescues. The department also conducts various women's self defense classes. It provides the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program. The Rogers Police Department is governed by The City of Rogers Arkansas, which additionally manages code management, fir, public library, water utilities, planning and transportation, and parks and recreation departments.
