Our experience within the store before I purchase was okay nothing spectacular but certainly not a bad experience. The salesperson was knowledgeable with the few questions I had although I did my research before going into the store so I did not have a lot to ask. That's where the good part of this review ends. Once you hand over your credit card there is no customer service. We had issues with our delivery in which gustafson's was not willing to work on with us unless we agreed to additional charges. There was little to no communication regarding the delivery and the scheduling and possible conflicts. Three different areas of the company refuse to help us in any way other than letting us know of all of the different charges possible should we need further assistance. I will never buy anything from gustafson's again. They're training for customer service before the sale should flow into customer service after the sale and that is certainly not the case with the store. If you are considering a purchase from gustafson's I would think twice as you are only valued to them until you complete your sale. I have zero confidence in my purchased now. When three different employees treat you in that manner it is clear this is a company issue not an individual issue.
Went there to buy a mattress, the one I wanted was not in stock. Bought a more expensive one, when I got it home and opened the plastic, the heavy smell of cigarettes filled the room. The mattress smells of cigerettes terribly. Buyer beware!!
Customer service was great, shopping was fun and informative, and in the end we ended up piecing together a really nice setup at a very competitive price! Can't wait to get our first night's sleep in our new bed!!!!!!!!! @ American mattress, Rockford, IL
