I am an owner who has lived in desert village since 2000, since ownership has changed the rules are rediculous. We cannot have even a wading pool in the yard for small children. If you own, and want to rent your trailer it is absolutely not allowed, so you will have to sell. The manager has to see all documents when selling. The last manager was great to work with, the new manager is rude, her communication skills are terrible, acts as though she is better then you. She seems to only care about golfing. This new ownership came in raised the lot rent, then imposed a ton of restrictions. It made me as an owner, feel like a renter even of my own place. You are allowed a pet if you already had one. But you cannot get another pet, or if you don't have one and want one it is not allowed. You cannot plant without permission. This trailer court went from a nice place to live, to feeling like your stuck under their thumb. Seriously consider your options and find out the rules, before buying a trailer or moving one in. There is very little to no freedom here. Most people here are very unhappy with the new ownership.
Over the years I've witnessed manager Vickie Budak as she worked vigorously to maintain overall care and maintenance of the trailer park. Equally I know of people she helped out and tried to make life a little easier where she could for them. Her retirement was a sad day for all and she is missed dearly. The management that replaced her has set strict but liveable rules and follows a no b.s. policy. RENTERS BEWARE. The management here lacks severely in people skills and is as wishy washy as the work day is long. She's rude and crass and believes her mannerisms becoming or respectable. She's proven to be lazy and to have gotten lax in all but the minimal of her duties. The park has gone from one of a clean well kept environment that is friendly to a hostile not my job run of the mill park on its way to Slumsville like so many others.
