Overall

This is the worst place to go to get your car fix. There is a man there at the front by the name of Joseph. He is very rude. One day I can in to get my brakes checked and out of no where for no reason, he told me to take my car somewhere else. I was embarrassed because he said this when other customers were in the lobby. I asked him why, he said you always come here to get your car looked at by the tech and you never get it fixed here. I have a right to compare prices and get the one that most affordable for my budget. What he did not seem to care about it the fact that I have been getting my oil change there for almost a year. Because of his rude behavior and attitude towards me I will never take my cars there for anything reason and would not recommend this place to anyone,

Don't ever use this place!

I had my son's car dropped off yesterday to have the timing chain fixed. When I checked on it this afternoon (24 hours later) it was sitting in the same spot untouched. It was left 6 feet from the road all night long instead of being put in the fenced in area around back. The manager's excuse was that there were only 2 of them and they couldn't push it. If I had known it would have been left out by the road all night I wouldn't have left it there. My father is a mechanic and I was raised in a shop and never once did my dad leave a customer's car alongside the road over night. The manager was very unconcerned that I was unhappy with the situation and offered very little apology to try to make me feel better. His only statement was that he didn't know that I wanted the car locked up overnight. I shouldn't have to tell him to lock it up. He should respect the fact that he is responsible for someone else's car and do everything in his power to ensure it is protected.

After a lot of crap from the manager he finally told me that his 20 year experienced mechanic listened to (not looked at) the car and he didn't think it sounded like the timing chain. What is the timing chain supposed to sound like? I took the car to my new mechanic (Hudson Automotive 684-8000) and they confirmed that it is the timing chain. They must have looked at the car!! I should have known not to leave my car at meineke when the guy at the counter checked the trans fluid in my car without it running. I will never go to this meineke again and will tell everyone that I know how I was treated!! If I could give them less than a 1 star rating I would do it!!! 11-19-09 As it turns out, it was the timing belt and Scott over at Hudson Automotive took great care of us!!!!!

There's always 2 sides to the story. Read mine and make your own decision. This vehicle was dropped off to us on a wrecker very late in the afternoon (after 5pm). Our shop was extremely busy and we told the owner we would call as soon as we looked at it. Now, the owner's mom, Carrie, came by the next morning, not 24 hours later as she indicated. And indeed, we had not looked at it yet. And yes, it was still parked in the same place, but not 6 feet from the road. I have a 6-bay shop and we typically park all vehicles inside or in the fenced yard out back. Our shop was full by the end of the day and we did not feel it was a good idea to move the car to the back. It is a '76 Oldsmobile Cutlass - extremely heavy and not easy to move. Had we stored it behind the shop, we would have never been able to roll it back and into a bay. Nevertheless, the car was locked. You have to understand that I park numerous cars outside for sale, we have video surveillance, and a taco stand that sets up at night. Therefore, we did not feel insecure about leaving the car outside (plus, no disrespect, you should see this thing. No one was going to steal this). Anyway, because of this, Carrie was fairly belligerent with us from the get-go. So, when we told her it would cost $200 for a "tear down" to inspect the timing chain, she refused and said we would take it elsewhere. Based on her attitude at the moment, we thought that would be a good idea as well. Nevertheless, my mechanic never "listened" to the timing chain (we had not even brought it in yet). What he was saying is that he believed there may have been a different issue resulting in the car not starting. What Carrie did not mention is how much she got charged. It was a little less than we would have charged, but pretty close nonetheless. Also, the timing chain gears were stripped. That's why the car wouldn't start (hmm, maybe my mechanic was right and he didn't even have to look at it!). If you are reading this because you are looking for a repair shop, please give us the benefit of the doubt. We have earned Platinum Customer Service awards 4 years running. We are respected enough to have earned the business of almost every collision shop in the area and numerous fleet businesses. Thanks for your consideration and hope to see you. - Rafael, owner.
