As a consumer, I have experienced the worst customer service from Comporium that I have ever received from any company. Their employees are badly trained and the supervisors do not take responsibility for company mistakes. I am currently without internet because for months they have made mistakes on our accounts and told us repeatedly not to pay the bill until it was fixed. We have still not received a correct bill, yet we are late on some payment. I am willing to pay termination fees to never have to speak with this company again. #comporium #southcarolina #customerservice
Handy, I had to sign this because Comporium would not offer any better deals. This is not the experience I had with Time Warner Cable. I went from a 35/month to 45/month and slower speeds moving to Comporium. Please get-rid of contracts for 12 mnth comporium.... this is not fair
The prices for the internet service stink. Verizon has internet speeds of 15/5Mps for the price Comporium charges for the 10/?. Comporium throttles the speeds depending on the amount you download.
DONT be fooled by the 12 month deal they are running, if you get this they charge you $24 for 6 months then add an additional $20 for a total of $45 for the last 6 months, and you are stuck with it because you sign a contract. But if you live in York county you are stuck with this because they are the only service provider. If you live in an older home, say anything 4 years or older and dont have fiber to the house, you are getting less than others that do have it because they are being charged the same amount as you and get a full 15/15Mps+ to their house. If you dont have fiber call Comporium and ask them to add fiber in your neighborhood and listen to the excuses why they cant.
When are the consumers going to get a choice in who we give our money to?
CABLE tv......Directv for TV programming, such a better picture all the way around and they are far superior in choices for channels. Comporium counts all the repeat channels in their packages for real channels on Directv. They count CN2, their advertisment channel, 2 CBS, 2 ABC, 2 NBC channels plus a bunch of other local fillers, just to charge what directv does. I also get HD channels for free, included in the exisitng package I have, imagine that, no extra charge for the same channels I get in SD. $10 savings each month.
Phone they should look into magicjack, get a used computer, one that you may replace for a newer one and reinstall a basic OS, then run the magic jack on it, great service and cost a mear $19/year. Thats if Comporium can keep the internet service up.
Bottom line,.,, Comporium I would not recommend, if there is an alternative, I am pushing it. If friends and family already have Comporium services, I try to talk them into getting something else. Show them the advantages of going with Directv and Magicjack, etc I will even lend my services to help them set up devices that they have to pay for with comporium.
