This place sucks beyond compare. Since they are the only hibachi restaurant in the area that cooks food in front of you, guess they have an advantage. We have been going here for about 10 years for birthday celebrations, etc. Each time it gets worse. Mind you, we probably average about once a month. The services is TERRIBLE. Each time my boyfriend has to get up and get our drink refills several times. The last time we were there, on a Sunday afternoon at 3, it took about an hour to get our drinks and another hour before our food was cooked. Yep, we were there for 3 hours. Tonight was no exception. We received our soups before our drinks. I mean really, what am I supposed to wash it down with? My boyfriend had not even received his drink, and people were already being served their entrees, thus the chef was already cooking their food. Totally unacceptable. Why is it so hard for these servers to do their job? About 8:00, after having a 6:30 reservation, the chef finally started cooking our food. Mind you, this was on a Monday night in July. After being served our first course, and finishing my glass of wine, I ordered another one. Shortly after taking a few bites of the rice (first course), the food made me very sick, and I felt like I had an allergic reaction to something (throat closing up). Yet I was tested just last year and had NO food allergies. My meal was nothing different from what I ordered the numerous other times over the years. The Asian lady insinuated it may have been the wine, stating I had just ordered a second glass. Wrong! Did sipping on one glass of wine after working all day make me sick? No. Beyond ridiculous! In the past, after eating there, members of our party have gotten sick on their stomachs as well.After my issue tonight when I got very sick, I then asked for a takeout box/check. They had no problem charging us full price and adding gratuity. Sure, I could have disputed the gratuity due to the sorry service.
