This is a wonderful restaurant! Home cooking but also has teriyaki chicken that melts in your mouth.
Awesome the staff were friendly and smiles all around. The food is fresh and they have the spices down right .All you have to do is order and eat. Real cloth napkins
the only thing that is working for this place is its friendly staff. Unfortunately, thats not enough to keep my business. The food was cold. The atmosphere is uninviting with empty drab gray walls, black booths and the table is so far away you have to sit on the edge of the seat. The cooking was poor, not what I expect as a paying customer.
We decided to go to Michael's to have nice birthday dinner for my husband. We had no reservations, so knew we might have a wait. No one else was waiting when we arrived, although the restaurant was full. The manager lady asked us twice if we had reservations, finally told us it would be a 15-20 minute wait and offered us a drink and a seat on a bench. Another couple soon joined us on the bench. Others came in, many with reservations. Finally all were seated but us and the other couple on the bench. The manager lady comes by and says, "did I get your name?" to us. We said no, and she said, "well, I don't need it now. Come on." So we get up, and the other couple that came in after us did also. She seated them in the only available booth! I work with the public and am very patient, but told my husband it was time to leave. I told the lady we would like to pay for our drinks and go. She asked why, so I told her that others without reservations had been seated before us. She said there would be a booth open soon, but I told her that we would like to pay and leave. She accepted no payment for the 2 beers. We went out the door, headed to our car, and she came out yelling, "how do you know they did not have reservations?!!" My husband was closest to her and said that they said they did not! She was literally yelling at him, they made a mistake, they were busy!! She knew they did not have reservations and was trying to make us feel bad??? My husband had to tell her to stop yelling at him! This was our 3rd trip there. While we enjoyed the food, we have seen this rude lady berate workers in front of customers twice. Things seemed frazzled 2 of the 3 times there. But to chase customers out the door, yelling at them over her errors and rudeness is unbelievable! We had every right to leave, and no food is good enough to put up with that sort of treatment. We will never go back.
I was not impressed with their customer service. The time I went their, I realize they were taking care of two customers but they had an attitude as though they were being put out to answer their questions. They did not even acknowledge my presence. But the longer I stayed there the worse it got. Finally I walked out and vowing never to go back. I have heard they had crappy attitudes from other folks and they sure were right!!! I would rather go to Bi-Lo. AVOID
Using the scare tactic to manage is inappropriate & unacceptable. Have been there on numerous occasions where the food was good, the service was good, but overheard the mgmt/owner giving the wait staff hell! This is wrong in so many ways! No wonder there are new people every time I go. You can't keep good help if you treat them like crap. It's sad because this place has great potential but won't last long with her there. :(
