The Little is a non-profit organization that has 5 screens showing wonderful movies you can't often find in other theaters. If you can catch one of their "Talk Backs," you'll be in for a treat because they are a bonus after the film. I went when the writer of "Me and Orson Welles" was there to answer questions after the film. I highly recommend supporting this gem in Rochester. We're lucky to have it!
For the price you pay this theater really is great!! I don't feel like I'm getting ripped off and I don't mind waiting the extra time for my favorite movies to hit the screen. I have never had a bad experience here and I love being able to go to a movie and be able afford to buy all the drinks and snacks that I want. It reminds me of how easy it once was to take the family out to see a movie.
If you don't want to spend $8 on a movie, Movies 10 is a nice alternative. This second-run theater shows popular films just as they start to come out on DVD. Films are just $1.50 or $2 on weekends. Friday and Saturday nights CAN be an issue, though, as teens come out in crowds. Weekend matinees, though, are great and management DOES try to control the crowds. Good popcorn.
The Cinema is a great, old-fashioned theater in downdown Rochester that offers interesting, second-run double features for $4. You can stay for just one film, but most people stay for both. What's unusual is that they also have some of the more "artsy" films here as well and not just the most popular ones. Great FRESH homemade popcorn and other desserts.
This theater, by far is the cleanest, most well run theater in Rocehster. The auditoriums are comfortable and the presentation is exceptional. The employees are friendly and very well trained on providing great customer service too. No other theater in Rochester comes close to how nice this theater is!
Clean, courteous, comfortable seating, restroom areas very clean and conveniently located (so helpful with little ones), has arcade area and nice little restaurant area. Seems to be well run.....and with all of this, the lowest prices in Rochester and has an IMAX theater too.
The employee's are friendly and fast in assisting you. the thertre's are clean and comfortable. The movie selections are current and I like that they offer free movies in the summer for the kids.
You feel like you're in Manhattan when you come to this famous 5-screen theater specializing in art films. Cafe is nice, offering sandwiches and desserts. Parking IS an issue, though.
It's convenient for me. It's clean. It's service is average needs an update on seats and general appearance.
Always the first place I check for movies. From the second you walk in, it'd a great experience.
