A Great Collectables Store

For those of you who want top dollar for your cards and collectables find some crazy collector on ebay. I have been there several times and had great service. People have to understand that this is a brick and mortar business. He only has one location to display merchandise and just because you get one price on ebay doesn't mean that is what a collector store will give you. Ebay allows the world to see your item where as this is a single shop with less traffic. Some things sit for a long time before they sell. These people are out early in the morning at flea markets and shows to bring you cool collectables. I have bought some great action figures I can't find in any other store. Maybe you should try bringing in better rarer items that is what most collectors want.

What an a**HOLE. Don't go here!!!!!

Went in here after it was recommended to me by someone. I was going to sell some sports and non sports cards. I sat and waited for the guy to look through them. When he was done he picked a whole binder of non sports cards as well as 4 jersey cards. Then told me he would give me $10 for all. I thought he was going to try and lowball me with a price of maybe $50 but nope he offered $10 I said I couldn't do it and let him know that 2 of the cards in the lot I had sold for $10 alone. Well he then poroceeded to tell me about what he charges and I was thinking ""OK thats a great price maybe I will just come buy from him to sell on e-bay."" Till I looked at what he was charging and it was pretty much double what he originally said. He then proceeded to tell me how much better his stuff was then mine and how if I could find people stupid enough to by stuff at higher pricing then good for me. It was almost like the defense mechanism of a 5 year old because I didnt want to take a measily $10 for a lot of 300+ cards. What an a**hole. I would MUCH rather spend an extra couple bucks and go somewhere that the customer is treated respectfully then to listen to his crap all the way out the door again.

Do Not Go Here

In a thriving city like Rochester there is an abundance of collectibles stores to visit. Each of these stores will have a beat up old box of fifty cent junk for sale on their floor. My three year old daughter was excitedly choosing a used happy meal-type toy to buy when the woman behind the counter rudely told her to stop playing with the merchandise. So if you are looking for fifty sent junk, go to one of the many stores who understand that it is fifty cent junk. If you do not mind pretentious staff who act as if they are doing you a favor by taking your money, then by all means, visit Yankee Clipper.
