No Directv

Directv is not an option in this complex. They will not allow dishes to be installed on the buildings. All dish installations have to be on a pole, and then cable is run through your window (only via flat cable) or through existing entry points into the building. In my case there was an existing hole drilled through the cement base of the building by TimeWarner, but it wasn't wide enough to fit an additional DTV cable. They would not allow another hole to be drilled through the cement into the basement. They also wouldn't allow me to run a cable through my window citing ""would allow moisture in"".

The contractors working for DTV said they aren't allowed to use flat cables anymore (as of 2 years ago). Dish network apparently still does, so you may be able to get DISH.

I'm disatisfied because i'm forced now to use the price gouging TimeWarner Cable.

Bad management ruins a great place

This used to be a hidden gem. Ever since new management came in 8 months ago the place has taken a nose dive. The office workers welcome tenants with dread. It has become unpleasant to live here. I knew of tenants living here for over 20 years but have decided to leave. I plan on moving after 4 years. Great time living here but they got rid of all employers and began to rent to some real suspective people.

Outrageous Increases & White Trash

After 5 years... out of the blue $60 rent increase and $250 ""non-refundable pet deposit!?"" I've never heard of such a thing, I guess that's what you get for being a good tenant. Not to mention the $140-$180 monthly RG&E bill, thanks to the crappy original windows installed 35 years ago.
The Police have been here at least 3 times that I know of since the new owners have taken over a few months ago... apparently, they will rent to any Hudson Avenue reject that fills out an application.
The new ""staff"" here are full of empty promises and the complex is now full of empty apartments and townhouses, no surprise. The vacant apartments are promptly furnished with new counter tops, windows, carpeting etc., while existing tenants who have been paying for years must make due with cabinets & countertops that were installed when Nixon was president! (no exaggeration)
Not recommended.
