Although her braid pattern is good, she braids too tight unless you are constantly bringing it up. In addition, I just wanted her to burn the tips and she ended putting FLAMES on my actually braids and thus burns my hair. And when I told her "Hey it is enough" she continued to do so anyways. So now alot of my hair is cut because of her. I put alot of working into growing my natural hair and she has been destroyed it since she burned near the root of my hair for some part. I honestly would not recommend going to her unless you are going to watch the whole time and especially if your style includes using fire/flames

TRASH!!! She was late and double booked my appointment. The micro-braids I had ended up looking like a horrible trashy mess after 15 days. 23 braids came out and after making an appointment at Princess to get them fixed, I waited 45 minutes because she double booked me with someone else. I ended up leaving and paying $30 at another braiding shop on Main St (shout out to Mariam) to fix it and they were great. Hyja (excuse if misspelled) at Princess is the worst and and she had no business etiquette, no manners and no sense of time at all. DO NOT HAVE HYJA DO YOUR HAIR if you go there! I only rated it 1 star because I could not rate any lower.
Cherifah is very talented and a true professional! Before I tried Cheristars, I had some other brading salon do my treebraids and it turned out badly. Then I had Cherifah of Cheristars African Braiding Salon do my treebraids and it was fantastic! I received many compliments on it. Since then, she has been doing my hair and I won't let any one else in Rochester do my braids. She is also very nice and kind and her price is reasonable. She's great!!!!
