I'm usually a 5-star fan of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, but was a bit disappointed, a week ago, when I went to rent a car from them. I set up my reservation online, and called the rental office the morning of the day I wanted the rental, to set up a time for them to come pick me up, as I needed a ride to the rental office. Imagine my surprise, when I was told that they had NO ONE to pick me up, and I would have to make my way there, on my own! Seriously? Hello?? This is what you base YOUR ENTIRE ADVERTISING SCHEME ON, is "Enterprise, we pick you up!" Well, except when we don't! Since I needed the car on time, and couldn't wait for a friend to drive over to give me a ride, I called for a taxi, and "enjoyed" paying an extra $27 for what should have been a free ride, courtesy of Enterprise, to their offices. I'm not sure what the story was that day, but if you're doing to advertise a service, you'd better darn well make certain you actually perform that service for your customers!
My experience with National has been generally fine. However, with my most recent rental I had an annoying revelation about the limitation of their service. Pulling out of the airport rental location having just picked up my car, still on the airport roadway, the car suddenly and completely died, leaving me in the middle of the road with a dead car, at probably one of the airport's busiest times. After much time and frustration trying to get some kind of assistance on the phone (their IVR system is a cycle of no-human-contact horror), I was told that they had no way to help me. I only wanted to have someone come pick me up and remove the road danger that the stalled car presented. So frustrating. When I finally made it back (by abandoning the car and walking to the terminal), there was an apology, but no offer of any kind to rectify or compensate me for my trouble and delay. Not happy.
Being students at RIT we had to find good, affordable, safe self storage for the summer. After calling nearly all the places in the city of Rochester we finally found High Falls Self Storage! One phone call and the manager, Matt, had us sold, rented a U-Haul and moved in within 4 hours at a price that was lower then the lowest price for just the storage unit alone at the other places. No deposit, No additional fee's, this place has security and is very cool! We have told many of our friends about this place and intend to use it for next summer as well!
I have used this U-Haul location three times and I have been very satisfied with the service every time. Renting a truck here is a painless process, their policy is very clear which they also go through with you before you take a truck out. Returning the truck after hours is also simple and within a few days they will reimburse you for any overestimates (mainly mileage differences) that were charged. I have no complaints thusfar. I would highly recommend this U-Haul location to anyone.
I went to pick up my mini-van up and they wanted to give me a Tahoe. I said no and they took a mini van from Enterprise. I opened the door to ck how clean it was and there was an empty bottle and a coffee cup just sitting there. The van was never cleaned just washed outside. When I got home and packed the van I found that a bottle of pop had spilled in the CD holder and it sprayed on the roof of the inside of the van. We had to clean it our self because we had no time to bring it back.
I travel frequently for my job. It is important for me to feel comfortable when I am away from home. National takes all of the stress out of renting a car! My car is ready as soon as I arrive; I just have to pick up my key. The cars are always clean and in perfect condition - and what a variety! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I find myself looking forward to getting my "new car" each trip. And I love my own car! National is in a league of its own.
Good rental prices and cordial Return Agents. I suggest that the Counter Reps create a photo inventory book of all cars; so people can see the availabilities instead of just telling people. No one knows what every make/model looks like just by verbal ly stating it. Also, they DON'T have an Emerald/Executive Aisle, which is rather disappointing.
Excellent Service !!! Wonderful people! I have been renting cars from Enterprise for a long time. They have never let me down. The rates are amazingly reasonable and affordable. Their cars are all new , or almost new. They even gave me a ride home. What more one ask for ?
Best car rental place in Rochester airport.....my flight was delayed due to bad weather and i was unable to get to the airport and they didnt charge for the extra time i had the car....always friendly helpful staff and my vehicle of choice is always ready!!!
I rented a vehicle from Enterprise about a week ago. The vehicle was clean and practically brand new. The service from the staff inside was friendly and professional. I would definitely use their service again and I would highly recommend them to others.
