NO! NO! NO!

This is the same company as Rochester Plumbing & Heating.

It started with a dripping bathroom tap. After first trying replacement washer, I bought new valve stems for both faucets, but couldn't stop the drip. Out of frustration, I called Rochester Plumbing & Heating. After explaining the problem on the phone and emailing photos of the faucets and the new valves, Dave from RPH came out to solve what I thought would be a simple problem. After 1.5 to 2 hours he told me I needed to replace entire faucet and that I also needed to replace one of the shutoffs under the sink; minor he said, parts on the truck. He said he would put the bill on a tab and add to it if I wanted them to come back to install the new faucets and replace the shutoff. As per his suggestion, I purchased a rather simple Delta faucet and called them back, thinking this would be a rather easy install. Another hour and a half to two hours later, I was all set. By the way, he didn't even replace the sink drain, which is the hardest part of install. Then I got the bill, $315.00 labor to ascertain what the problem was with the existing faucets and then to install the replacement that I supplied. Total bill, $351.00 and change, TO FIX A DRIP! I called them to express my dismay, and was told by Service Manager Wayne that it was reasonable. I asked how he would feel if I charged him $350.00 identify the drip problem and install a replacement faucet that i supplied; he said "I need to talk to Dave". Also said he would call me back the next day. After 3 days I called him; no answer, left a message. Did that for a week. I finally caught him and was told that the price was fair but that he would be prepared to issue me a credit and take the bill down to $300.00 flat. This meant I was still paying roughly $265.00 in labor to get a faucet, that I supplied, replaced. I paid them, but we are VERY dissatisfied. We will never (nor will any of our friends) use their services again.
