T. J. Davis Recreation Center is operated by the parks and recreation department of the city of Roanoke Rapids, N.C. The department also operates several city parks and senior citizen, aquatic and community centers. T. J. Davis Recreation Center is a place for conducting aerobic, karate, gymnastics and music classes. The center serves as a venue for conducting wildlife resource commission programs, including hunter and boating safety courses. It maintains various sports associations that include soccer, baseball and softball for youths. The center provides spaces for organizing T-ball, pitching machine and challenger leagues In addition, it provides areas for swimming and biking activities.
