Food was great. Will be coming back. They have a variety of dishes. This is the 4th time I'm here and just enjoythe food.
I ordered the enchiladas and they were extremely good however the service was a little on the low side but I will still definitely come through for the food
Great food made fresh! Their Nachos are awesome!They also have fruit cups (healthier choice for kids).
I took my girlfriend to have dinner there, she gave me one of her tacos. I moved my plate to the side and the server came and picked it up and threw it away before I even got a chance to eat it. I was so upset. I couldn't believe the server just grabbed my plate they just gave me and threw it away before I even had a chance to take a bite. instead of causing a scene in front of my date. I chose to pay the bill and walked out. Horrible experience one of the worst date nights I have ever had. :(
Excellent service and the authentic ambience. Try the Flautas, soups, and the chile rellenos for a happy stomach.
The new zacatecas restaurant is open now.I am planning on visiting this zacatecas restaurant as soon as i can so i can taste the food.Restaurant is located on Iowa where old shaky's pizza was.

Great atmosphere, authentic Mexican food, live music on the weekends cool beer, one of the few places that serves plates from michoacan
I skipped the atmosphere because I am anxiously waiting for the new location to open. I have eaten here for 50 years, since a UCR student living in the east side "student ghetto" and mom and dad opened Zac's on University and Park. Now John and his family have upgraded the quality of ingredients while keeping the integrity of his mom's recipes. Can't figure out when it will open the new venue on Iowa (old Shakey's locale) or if it is still open on University. Want to go Wed night so hope I can find out by then.
