First United Methodist Church Preschool

Both my girls have attended and we all love it. I trust the director and staff completely! Learning is play based and they have lots of activities to keep the kids learning how to share and play with others. The teachers are amazing, so loving and patient. The staff in the playground have specific outdoor activities like painting , shaving cream art. Can't say enough about this preschool !:)

I signed my son up last year because it was the most affordable option for my family & it was close to home. I was pretty nervous that, at the price they were charging, the program wouldn't be that great but I figured we would try it out. I am SO glad we did. He LOVES going to FUMPS. The staff is AMAZING. They are all so sweet and wonderful with the kids. They have a ton of fun activities (they even brought in snow for a snow day!) they give them awesome snacks every day, and my son is thriving as a sunny sunflower. I now refer everyone I know to FUMPS & can't say enough about this wonderful program. Mrs. Vasquez has been a dream & when my second son is of preschool age, he will absolutely be attending FUMPS also.

My daughter Elodiè attended there with the pooh bears she love it! She still misses Mrs. Carrasco and Ms. Stalder do much! She still cries for them! That place is full of love! Best classroom ever!

After three kids and seven years at FUMPS, we will be starting our last year with our last child in the fall. I feel like FUMPS is a part of our family. I found the school after a friend recommended it to me, and since that time I have recommended FUMPS to numerous friends of my own. There is just no other place like it. Preschool at FUMPS is just that.....preschool. Children are encouraged to explore, make messes, discover, pretend, and interact with each other. Everything is hands on and nothing is off limits. Being a former elementary school teacher, I was looking for a place for my children to learn through playing and interacting with others. The only academic goals I had for preschool for my children was to learn how to sit on the carpet, raise their hands, and line up and follow directions. I now have a fourth grader, a second grader, and one at FUMPS. My older children are both amazing students in elementary school and I know part of the reason is because of the great foundation they had at FUMPS. I love it here and will continue to come back and visit as my children get older. The staff is wonderful and they all love their jobs, and you can tell. It is a great place for children to learn to be away from a parent and how to be "in school." I will continue to send my friends to such a wonderful place where their children can play, pretend, learn, and explore to build a strong foundation for academics in elementary school.

First United Methodist Preschool has been such a wonderful start to my children's education. From the moment I met the director, Lee Ann Salmon four years ago, I knew that I would be so happy with what the preschool had to offer. My son attended FUMPS for 3 years and all of his teachers were so loving, warm and really made him enjoy his first experience at school. The school's curriculum encourages the children to be very hands on and helps them explore their creativity through pretend play, crafts, music, interaction with animals and so much more. I only wish that FUMPS had an elementary school as well! Everyone that works at FUMPS also makes parents feel very welcome.

My daughter has a year and a half left at the preschool and I know when she leaves for kindergarten, we will really miss FUMPS, but have many fond memories :) I would highly recommend First United Methodist Preschool to anyone looking to give their child a wonderful start to their education.

Both of my children attend FUMPS and I couldn't be happier with the preschool. I highly, highly recommend it. Both of their teachers are so kind and loving and provide a very nurturing environment for the children. The school provides the kids with so many opportunities...snow days, dental visits, eye exams, walks to the pumpkin patch, etc. They learn through play which is so important at this age and which they will not have the opportunity for once they enter kindergarten. My husband and I are so pleased with the decision to have our children attend FUMPS!
