After three kids and seven years at FUMPS, we will be starting our last year with our last child in the fall. I feel like FUMPS is a part of our family. I found the school after a friend recommended it to me, and since that time I have recommended FUMPS to numerous friends of my own. There is just no other place like it. Preschool at FUMPS is just that.....preschool. Children are encouraged to explore, make messes, discover, pretend, and interact with each other. Everything is hands on and nothing is off limits. Being a former elementary school teacher, I was looking for a place for my children to learn through playing and interacting with others. The only academic goals I had for preschool for my children was to learn how to sit on the carpet, raise their hands, and line up and follow directions. I now have a fourth grader, a second grader, and one at FUMPS. My older children are both amazing students in elementary school and I know part of the reason is because of the great foundation they had at FUMPS. I love it here and will continue to come back and visit as my children get older. The staff is wonderful and they all love their jobs, and you can tell. It is a great place for children to learn to be away from a parent and how to be "in school." I will continue to send my friends to such a wonderful place where their children can play, pretend, learn, and explore to build a strong foundation for academics in elementary school.

First United Methodist Preschool has been such a wonderful start to my children's education. From the moment I met the director, Lee Ann Salmon four years ago, I knew that I would be so happy with what the preschool had to offer. My son attended FUMPS for 3 years and all of his teachers were so loving, warm and really made him enjoy his first experience at school. The school's curriculum encourages the children to be very hands on and helps them explore their creativity through pretend play, crafts, music, interaction with animals and so much more. I only wish that FUMPS had an elementary school as well! Everyone that works at FUMPS also makes parents feel very welcome. My daughter has a year and a half left at the preschool and I know when she leaves for kindergarten, we will really miss FUMPS, but have many fond memories :) I would highly recommend First United Methodist Preschool to anyone looking to give their child a wonderful start to their education.
Club Discovery is now known as KLC Champions. It is on the Harrison Elementary School Campus in Riverside, California. The program incudes a Kindergarten Enrichment Program. Kindergarteners are picked up directly from their class and walked to Champions. There, homework is completed and then activities which are geared to what the children are studying in school are available. When children grades 1st through 6th are finished with classes, they walk to Champions, where homework completion is a priority. Enrichment activities, including outdoor play, follow. Snack time is included. The children have recently learned about community workers, Native Americans, hibernation and migration. The staff are great with the kids. The two drawbacks are that it closes at 6:00pm, and does not, at the moment, have a before-school program. I would highly recommend the program.
Not pleased with school at all .teachers are very pleasant nice good communication but other than that the school the way its being run not so good.hard to get in contact with the principal and never available for our problems and concerns .very disapointed in their action and misconduct.no good supervision the staff employees their have an attitude and let wrong doings of the employees get away with things.playgrund the. Staff supervision don't do their jobb in supervising kids instead I seen them on their phones or chit chatting amongs themselfs instead of keeping an eye on the kids. Kids aren't allowed while at play get water if they don't take water bottle then basically tough luck.they allow staff to mistreat kids and scream at them.
I signed my son up last year because it was the most affordable option for my family & it was close to home. I was pretty nervous that, at the price they were charging, the program wouldn't be that great but I figured we would try it out. I am SO glad we did. He LOVES going to FUMPS. The staff is AMAZING. They are all so sweet and wonderful with the kids. They have a ton of fun activities (they even brought in snow for a snow day!) they give them awesome snacks every day, and my son is thriving as a sunny sunflower. I now refer everyone I know to FUMPS & can't say enough about this wonderful program. Mrs. Vasquez has been a dream & when my second son is of preschool age, he will absolutely be attending FUMPS also.
My son was mistreated yield at and when brought it up to office staff they tryed blowing me off.principle is not a good listener averviews our childs well bbeing and have the school rules not being followed.I hope more parents complaint to they can grab someones attention to help us feel our kids are safe in this school not have to worry about aggresive staff inappropriate behavior unprofessional way of speaking to us as parents.they seem also discriminant towards hispanic specially the parent who know no engligh .never get satisfied wiith their action no actions taken
Both of my children attend FUMPS and I couldn't be happier with the preschool. I highly, highly recommend it. Both of their teachers are so kind and loving and provide a very nurturing environment for the children. The school provides the kids with so many opportunities...snow days, dental visits, eye exams, walks to the pumpkin patch, etc. They learn through play which is so important at this age and which they will not have the opportunity for once they enter kindergarten. My husband and I are so pleased with the decision to have our children attend FUMPS!
This center has completely changed my life. My 3 year old son has trouble with other centers before, it seemed like he was always unhappy and couldnt wait to get home every night. Ever since I switched him to helping hands he has been more active, joyful and more importantly happy! I love the staff here, and the facility is perfect. The outdoor playground is great because they have a separate space for the big kids and the little ones. My little one also has some food allergies, and the staff was very accommodating for him. Love this center. Thanks guys!
They cover eachother and our word is not heard.tell me would anyone in their right mind let their child use the schools restroom unattended? Our let makes scream and disrespect a woman? Or let a child be ? Because my child was mentally emotionally abused by the school staff!!! But they did not care lied so they wouldn't get in trouble Mott fair .freedom of speech i would not recommend any kids to attend this school till they can correct their misconduct and wrong doings in their bsd mistakes
The best daycare I have found. The staff is friendly and my children attending aswell. They really work hard to help the parents out and provide excellent service. My children do not sit around all day, they learn and are above average for their age group. The meals provided for your child at no extra cost are healthy and the kids love them too! You and your child will be very excited about this daycare and all the fun activies the teachers plan for them!
