Dr. Baughman is so very sweet with my little girl. We always enjoy our visits to Promise. The staff is kind, considerate, and they always take extra time with us.

They were honest. Dr. Baughman is DETAIL-ORIENTED: uncovering pitfalls and concerns where other pediatricians glossed over in an effort to get us out of their hair, onto the program, or outta the door...whichever.. He is exceedingly conscientious - doing what is in the BEST interest of your child....even if that means going against his own chances of making a few bucks.

My son was very ill and Promise is right down the road. I rushed him in and they saw him on the spot. Dr. Baughman was kind and caring and so was his staff. My son has never felt more loved. They have our business forever. P.S. He is feeling much better now.

I have been taking my daughter to Promise Pediatrics since she was an infant. I have seen several of their doctors and they have all been great with my kid. If you live in the Ringgold/Ft. O area, this is the best children's medical office by far.

Dr. B has the patience of a god. My daughter isn't the easiest to deal with when she's sick, let alone at the doctor's office.

We have been patients of this Dr. for years and we absolutely love that office! The front desk staff are always willing to help, the nurses are friendly and knowledgable and the providers including doctors and nurse practitioner have the best bed side and always answer every question we have. We couldn't be happier that we are in such good hands.

Just returned from Promise Pediatrics with my 6 month old daughter, who has been sick for 2 days. The doctor that checked our child today was not only inattentive, but extremely rude and unprofessional. We were concerned that our little one was becoming dehydrated after not being able to hold any foods or fluids down, so we took her to the pediatrician. The doctor dismissed her symptoms and her lathargic demeanor and told us to simply bring her back in two days if she is still throwing up, because currently she seemed happy and fine. When trying to explain to the doctor that our child is a good baby and doesn't cry often, but wasn't herself for the past two days, was lathargic and pale, he scolded me and told me not to brag on my child. The most horrific part of our visit is when he used his stethoscope to check her chest. Our child is only 6 months old, and obviously will be curious with the world around her. She reached up to grab onto his stethoscope and he told her, "No No No, if you do that, I'm gonna punch you out!" She reached again and he said, "I'm not kidding...if you do that again I'm gonna punch you out!" Obviously he wasn't serious, but when your infant is seeing a doctor, and you as a parent are standing there listening to the doctor say something like this to YOUR infant, it's not going to fly over well! Joking or not, this was the most horrific thing I could imagine a doctor telling my infant baby girl. So as you can imagine, we left with no help or resolution offered, and have been sorely offended by this doctor. Then, after making a post about our treatment here, we were contacted and was chewed out by Dr. Baughman's wife (not the doctor in question) for me having such a horrible experience at their office. She said I had no business publicly commenting about my experience there and that I was bashing the whole office with my complaint. She said my posts was more offensive than the doctor's comment about him punching my 6 month old child out if she kept grabbing at his stethoscope. She all but yelled at me, and continued to cut me off when I tried to speak. She said obviously he was joking, so I asked her if it was her child, would she feel it was an appropriate joke? Joking or not, my infant has been sick for 3 days now and to be dismissed by the doctor as well as having a comment like that made to my daughter was NOT professional. I was talked to as if I were uneducated, unfit and made to feel guilty for even speaking out about what happened. We were not looking to make a big deal of this, but after the phone call, we will be reporting this. As a family of 3 children will no longer be visiting this facility, and as recommended by several other parents who have had horrible experiences here, will be visiting Dr. Thomas Ho. Let this be a word of advice to all parents to be very careful when visiting this pediatric facility. We will not be returning.

Make sure when you make an appointment to CLARIFY what the appointment is for, apparently the secretaries who work there are illiterate and don't know how to schedule appointments correctly. They will charge a ridiculous amount for a simple visit. I took my daughter to have her immunization records transferred to a GA form for school, which only costs about $25 at the health department, but to save the money we scheduled an appointment since they take our insurance. Unfortunately, my daughter was scheduled under a well visit, (after we explained to the secretary what I needed) which she wasn't due for & she wasn't sick, and ended with a bill summary of $350!---$125 for a check-up, $40 for blood work (really?), $20 for a urine test, $15 for surgery? oh, $150 for "administrative work." I kept explaining to the nurse, then the doctor over and over again but it seemed that everything went in one ear then came out the other. Ridiculous. Never going back.

Great Doctor, Always does a great job. The wait time is longer because you actually see a doctor and not a nurse. We have been going to DR. B. for 9 years now.
