Ridgeland Elementary School

I worked as a teacher for at least two years at this school before retiring . I was totally in shock at the inappropriate conduct displayed by the students and the chaotic learning environment in the classrooms.

There is no support from the higher divisions from the district office including and not limited to the special services department.

Most of the students cannot read, yet you never see any support from the special services department. Everyone from the school principal to the school district administrators work separately from each other, therefore creating a disorderly and disorganized atmosphere. I am relieved to be out of this school district. I can totally understand why it is at rock bottom on test scores and will continue to stay at rock bottom.

It is labeled as one of the worst school districts in the state of South Carolina and will remain as one of the worst.
