Sylvia is an awful business owner! She does good work, but her customer service is terrible! Beware!
Let me preface this review by saying the work done here was good, however the customer service is awful. I have been here three times and referred several people to this shop and , they never remember my name or my contact information. The times that I did go, they would argue with me about how I wanted my hair, only when I threatened to take my business and money elsewhere did the braider acquiesce to my wants. I would spend all day in the shop,literally starting at 7am, for her to not be finished until around 8 because she kept stopping to do things for her son. They are constantly rude over the phone, say they will follow up but don't, they wait until the last minute to secure appointments, and tell you prices. I will not be going back here, and if you can find another place go there. Seriously, it's not worth it.
Rude Greedy Bad Customer Service! I spent 400$ here and I will NEVER go back! I had to really remember my status in life so I wouldn't go off on them. If you want to spend your hard earned money somewhere it's appreciated and get good customer service do not waste your time. Warning!!!! Look for a better salon, you deserve it!
Late appointment and payment issue. I booked my appointment one month in advance for 12pm. While in route Sylvie called to move the appointment to 2:30pm. When I got there she didn't start on my hair until 4pm because she put a last minute client in before me. I left at 3:15am. Also when I got there she didn't have the hair I wanted and changed the price from $180 to $200. She could have told me that BEFORE I got there. Remember my appointment was scheduled a month in advance. I've been to her 2 times and on both occasions I've seen clients walk in stating they had appointments that she forgot about or screwed up. Forcing them to make other arrangements for their hair. Sylvie is a horrible business owner and I would not recommend her to my worse ememy.
I absolutely DO NOT recommend going here. Getting my senegalese twists done took 23 hours. From start to finish it was a disaster. She asked that I reschedule my appointment to a day later, which I did despite the fact that I would be traveling the next day and intentionally scheduled my hair appointment to allow for a day of cushion time. When I arrived, she took more than 2 hours just combing out and arranging the extensions while I sat there-- this absolutely could have been done before I arrived. She also stopped to get lunch which took over 1 hour. She stopped two additional times to pick up her coworker and her son. I was there so long that she started falling asleep while braiding my hair. By 2 or 3 am I suggested that she should get some sleep and that I would reschedule my travel ticket so that I could return at 8:00am to have her finish. I felt that this was far beyond what I was obligated to do as a customer. I could have insisted that she finish my hair even if she was exhausted and berated her for falling asleep which is a no-no in any business establishment. Instead, I was willing to shell out extra money to change my travel ticket to make things easier for her. Instead of saying thank you or even just politely declining my offer, she yelled at me for my impatience and said that she could not help falling asleep; that if I had a problem with her falling asleep I could leave. And then she had the audacity to lecture me about patience. I have never felt so offended and disrespected. Seriously horrible experience and the twists were not even remotely worth it. I will absolutely never patronize this business again!
