We ordered an electric clothes dryer through the Home Depot website for home delivery. The dryer was delivered without crucial parts, including the vent and the power cord, so the delivery people were unable to install it. I immediately called the customer service line to fix this. I spent an hour on the phone, was transferred to three different people, and had to explain my problem again each time. I was finally assured that the delivery firm had made a mistake and that they would be in touch again shortly to fix it. I waited until the end of the day and heard nothing.Today, my wife spent another two hours on the phone, again explaining the problem to several different people. On several attempts, the phone rang and rang without any answer. She was finally told that we had to pay another $30 before an installation could be scheduled --- and that even then it would take another week!So far, the response has been uniformly incompetent and unsympathetic --- and a huge waste of time. We're still waiting to get our dryer hooked up.
This is the worst delivery company I have ever encountered. I bought a refrigerator and dishwasher through Home Depot, who unfortunately uses this delivery company. Mid Inc has been to our house four times and have yet to get the delivery correct. The first time the refrigerator was badly dented and they informed me that they couldn't install the dishwasher as promised. The second time, they brought the fridge but the ice maker didn't work. They also forgot the dishwasher. The third time they were scheduled to fix the ice maker and deliver the dishwasher, they just didn't show up. The fourth time, they informed me they couldn't disconnect my old dishwasher as promised. When they pulled the fridge out to check the ice maker, they didn't unplug the appliance. They ripped the cord and broke off the plug. I took time off from work for each failed attempt. I strongly suggest avoiding buying anything that is to be delivered by Mid Inc.
I sent a Package on December 19th, 2014 and was told it would arrive in Columbus, Ohio before Christmas. They mixed up my label and sent my package to Georgia. GEORGIA! What was worse was the way they handled it. I had to call at least 6-8 times to get any information on THEIR screw-up. I had to keep calling them to get any help. and they were also rude about it. I have never before experienced such awful customer service!
