I had my transmission repaired at Gearbox in Richmond Va. During the repair, they broke my transfer case and falsified the documentation stating that it was leaking when the vehicle was brought into the shop. They attempted to repair the transfer case they broke with JB Weld and when this failed they wanted me to pay them to fix something they broke because they were negligent. Buyer beware.I turned down Rob's offer thru the BBB for me to pay him a reduced rate to fix the transfer case he and his crew negligently broke.
I recently discovered this place, & I wish I never had! It has been one huge headache! The vehicles are garbage!! Don't waste your time or money!! The cars are overpriced & in bad condition! Go elsewhere!!! They only want $$$$.
I took my car to Moore's Auto Body shop after an accident. At first they said it would be a week, and it ended up taking 3 weeks. This is a fleet vehicle, and it was evident that they saw that as an open piggy bank. They called me after a week and I asked if it was ready, and they said they hadn't even started on it yet. They asked me if I knew the number for Emkay (fleet company). I told him it's called google, and it's not hard to find a 1-800 number. Weeks later, when he finally said it was ready, he told me it was at another shop and I asked where, and he didn't even know the address. He claims it was to get an alignment. The car is not aligned at all, so they clearly never did that. Sketchy! I get it back and it is absolutely filthy. They clearly drove it as a personal vehicle for those 3 weeks, because there was fast food garbage all over the place, and the gas was on empty (full when I dropped it off). They also stole all the change out of my middle console and my chewing gum. More importantly, they did the worst repair job ever. They had paint all over the inside of my car doors (ruined the vinyl). They also did not blend the paint job, as you can now tell that my car is 2 different colors. The seats are absolutely filthy, and will need to be professionally cleaned. I told my insurance company this, and we are taking it somewhere else to have them fix their mistakes, and I'm sure there will be a lawsuit involved. I may also press charges for them stealing my property. Bottom line, this place is garbage. They are the most unprofessional people, their repair work is garbage. They literally made my car worse than when I dropped it off. I will also be pressing charges for petty larceny since they stole stuff from my car. This place is a freaking joke. Stay away!

Terrible experience. I purchased a vehicle from them and had it less then a month and the engine blew. They sold me a patched up vehicle, that would run long enough to make it away from the lot. You pay for what you get. Please stay away from these scammers, they will sell you a lemon. I would not recommend them to my worse enemy.
After reading this review if you buy a car from here than SHAME ON YOU. NO STARS!!!!!!!!!! Bought my sons first car here. What should have been a joyous occasion has turned into a nightmare. Twenty four hours after buying this car the engine started corrupting. I bought this car June 13th and this car has been is a shop 5 times thus far. Right now it wont even start and sitting in a reputable dealership that is notating everything wrong with this car. To name just a few things.. air compressor not working, computer needs to be replaced, brakes and rotors replaced, transmission problems, fans had to be replaced, relay switches were bad, someone hot wired car incorrectly, wires to battery jacked up and melted, service engine light covered with electrical tape to mask the problems to car. Oh and did I mention that the car fax did not include details that this car has been in an accident according to mechanics that has looked at this car. Car has been towed three times, I have missed several days of work, stress and anger has truly taken a toll. Lets not count how many days it has left me stranded. I cant dare have my son drive this car because its so jacked up. I demanded my money back and they refused. Mechanics are ALL baffled on how jacked up this car is. The owner has been rude since day one of my demand and his associate. They kept my car hostage for six days after I bought my car to tell me they will get a diagnositic and fix the issues. Gave me a loaner and that ALSO broke down and both owner and associate had the audacity to say I did something to BOTH CARS...RIDICULOUS!!!They lied and did several things to the car I cant begin to name because it will soon be in litigation. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with the Attorney General. I don't want another consumer to go through what I am enduring with this vehicle. Its something how nice and cordial people can be until they get your money and reveal who they truly are from after the fact.. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALER. They are very dishonest and their cars are doctored to look nice enough to last you until you are on your own. Oh and that Warranty. That's a laugh.. Like I said they will see me in court. MY GOD has the last say.
It was not a pleasant experience, but the fault did not lie with Robert or the shop. The part that was needed for my 2010 BMW 750Li Transmission were on back order causing quite a delay in getting my vehicle repaired. It was a bad situation that Robert tried to make the best of by keeping me informed, answering my phone calls and trying to find alternate suppliers. Beyond that, Robert was empathetic to my situation of having to spend extra money on a rental car. So much so, that when his guys that had to reprogram my vehicle were further delayed, Robert offered me compensation for some of the extra costs that I incurred. I have never dealt with a repair shop that treated it's customers so well before. And despite this not being a pleasurable experience (as so often is the case in getting your vehicle repaired, and again it was outside the control of Robert) I would recommend Robert for all your transmission needs because of the thorough job, quality of work, communication, empathy and understanding he provides. Where most shops would have shrugged their shoulders and threw up their hands with a "oh well, it's not my fault" attitude, I felt that Robert stepped up and let me vent my frustration. The price was also a great savings over what the BMW dealer wanted to charge me.
I take both my vehicles to Bimmer rescue. It's always a great pleasure to have my cars serviced there. I've never had to deal with any additional hidden repair costs, very honest people, excellent services. Highly recommend this service
These people are liars and thieves. They repaired my car with a used part. You can go to a junk yard and pull parts off vehicles that are in good condition and use. So they did not buy a new bumper, instead got a used bumper which has minor scratches and is missing a small cap for the tow hook. Which obviously would have come with a brand new bumper. They are liars and thieves. If that can get over on you, they will. Good luck
