Ace Glass

These guys quoted me $20 cheaper than satellite so I gave them a shot. DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! The guy who came out to fix my windshield cut his hand during the replacement then did a half a** job installing the new windshield. I could tell it wasn’t installed properly, but he insisted he does this everyday and the windshield was fine. Against my better judgement and feeling sorry about his hand I trusted him and paid for the windshield. 5 months later my stereo blows out, I go to the dealership and the guy says the amp is sitting in water... surprise surprise the windshield leaks. A new amp is $1,000. On top of that I need a new windshield. SHORT TERM THEY SAVED ME $20 6 MONTHS LATER IM OUT $1,500 (which I don’t have). AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!


Update: *pictures added* I took two hours out of my day to drive to midlothian from the far west end and give Ace Glass a chance to fix their mistake. I pointed out the two large gaps in the seal between the glass and the frame which happen to be directly above where the water is leaking into my vehicle. The manager of the shop proceeded to tell me the flaws in the windshield installation job they did for me were “just cosmetic” and the only problem with them would be a buzzing/ vibrating noise when I drove on the highway. Instead of stopping right there and fixing the “just cosmetic” issues. He then had his crew use foam and air to check the glue that holds the windshield in place and declared the installation was faultless and sent me on my way... Lastly, I was polite to the entire team at Ace glass and any accusations to the contrary are flat out lies. I couldn’t be more disappointed in a business than I am in Ace Glass of Midlothian.

Distorted windshield installed. Second one installed improperly. Led to excessive water damage. Ace will not believe claims adjuster that it is their fault unless they see it. Not stated in warranty. Will not take responsible action.

I had a rear glass and a windshield replaced with Ace. Both times I came to the shop and waited and both times they were expedient and friendly. Just a month after I had my windshield replaced I got a rock chip in the new windshield. I made an appointment, came in, and the nice woman who works up front remembered me. They got me in, gave me a discount, and got me out. Rest assured this will be my glass company of choice from now on.

I had a second windshield installed at ACE the other day-the first was 3 years ago-and as the first time, the service was excellent,it was done on the same day & the staff was very polite, professional & helpful, both on the phone & in the shop! They took my vehicle at the appointed time & did a first class repair. The cost was extremely reasonable. I will continue to use Ace in the future & will definitely recommend them. Water was leaking into my Saturn VUE. I was told I needed a glass company to look at it. I picked ACE Glass and gave them a call. They were great! They found the problem within 5 minutes, fixed it and informed me how to get the wet smell out of the car. I have and always will recommend Ace Glass to friends and family. I just had to get my front windshield replaced and had a great experience with ACE! They were able to have my replacement windshield in their shop the same afternoon that I called. I dropped it off that night to be fixed and it was ready by 9:30 AM which was incredible. Not only that, but they noticed my side mirror had fallen out of its harnessing ( I was expecting the dealership to charge me at least $250 to fix it and was on my way there next) They popped it in and fixed it for free. That just made my day! Definitely will use ACE again and will recommend to anyone else

I am so pleased with the people and the work done at Ace Glass. They responded to my request for a new glass top for my kitchen table and new bathroom mirror. My name is Brian and I would like to thank Lori for all the help she gave me when I called into the office. I have a $250 deductible on my insurance and the price she quoted me was less than my deductible I had called Safelite they said we will come out you pay your $250 ded and we will bill Geico the rest! Why would I pay $250 when I got a windshield for $190 dollars? The service is really great and friendly because the business is small but really fast! If the service will take a while they give you an exact time and there's a mall and good places to eat nearby while you wait. They'll give you a call when it's ready and even come out to your car if you have any questions. This was my first time buying a windshield replacement and the experience couldn't have been better. :)
