I've not gotten the chance to adopt from the SPCA, but when I visit to "look" and to get my pets their needed care, I'm always amazed at how clean, bright, and cheerful the place is. The animals look clean, their crates and kennel areas look pristine, and they appear as happy as a pet could without a home. The employees and/or volunteers are helpful and kind. It is somewhere one would want to be and go to find a special member of thier family. I've been to other shelters and it kills me to leave because the living conditions were so bad, I wanted to take them all home. Of course, I feel the same visiting here, but I know without a doubt that the animals are treated with care and respect, whether they go home with me or not.
My wife has donated many hours to RAL. She loves everything they are doing as 'no kill' shelter to help all of the 'fur faces.' She is in the picture on this website.
helped with a dog my son had ,and place her in a good home.
