X-rays
A typical first visit for a new patient consists of a discussion concerning your expectations of dental treatment, a series of digital dental x-rays, a periodontal(gum) evaluation, a TMJ evaluation, and an oral cancer screening. We will also chart existing restorations and any dental decay that may be present. If no serious periodontal conditions are found, a routine dental cleaning may be completed that first visit.

She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Howard University in Washington, DC. On graduation she returned to Houston and elected to complete an additional two years of clinical and didactic training at the University Of Texas School Of Dentistry in Houston. The first residency was in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in advanced restorative dentistry. The second residency, a General Practice Residency, was in hospital based dentistry at Memorial Hermann Hospital, (TX Medical Center). The two years were spent training for complex dental techniques, and in the management of medically complex patients. Techniques for crown and bridge work was emphasized and the restoration of dental implants. Treatment of patients with significant cardiac, organ transplant concerns as well as many other difficult medical issues were significant portions of her training.

Jennie joined our team in May 2007. She is a graduate of Needville High School and she was a patient in the practice for a long time before becoming an assistant. Jennie completed the Greater Houston Dental Society Dental Assisting training program in 2007. She is certified for Nitrous Oxide Monitoring and CPR. Jennie attended the Academy of GP Orthodontics Dental Assistant training Class in Plano, Texas. She brings much youthful exuberance to her job and is always up to learning something new. She greatly enjoys helping Dr. McCrea get models ready for lab fabrication of night guards for bruxism (tooth grinding), sports mouth guards and temporary retainers.

Care Credit providers. Care Credit is a branch of GE Financial which provides financing specifically for healthcare services. The card allows you to spread your payments out over a longer period of time than we are able to offer through our in-office payment plans. Care Credit works especially well for patients who would like braces, Lumineers, or other cosmetic procedures performed. Dr. McCrea is a Clinical Associate Professor University of Texas School Of Dentistry in Houston. He teaches residents in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program and the General Practice Residency (hospital dentistry). Dr. McCrea helps the residents in clinic with procedures they are learning and with the development of treatment plans for their patients. In 2013 he became part Memorial Herman Hospital Staff to be able to supervise residents providing dental treatment in the operating room. In the spring of 2013 Dr. McCrea became an assistant instructor for the Academy of General Practice Orthodontics to help teach other dentists orthodontics.
