Worst Experience Ever

Worst auto repair experience in my life! Over $4500 worth of repairs and 2 weeks worth of time and the car still needed to go back immedtiately to be fixed. This time they had it another 2 weeks because they kept misdiagnosing the problem and throwing parts at it. This business is just totally incompetent. They don't communicate and when they do you can't believe a word that they say. I never received so much as an apology from these sons of !@#$. I just hope that they eventually go out of business so that no other innocent people get screwed!DO NOT GO HERE...STAY FAR AWAY!!! That goes for the Auburn shop as well since they are owned by the same lousy owners.

Women beware!!!

My friend took her mother in law's car in to the Renton Aamco for a warranty repair. The regular manager wasn't there but a man named Tim was and checked in her car. He started texting my friend at night telling her he was from out of town and they should get together. He only had her phone number from the Aamco paperwork and used it to stalk her by text. She lives with her man and his mom. He found the texts and they have been having relationship struggles since. Her mother in law contacted Aamco to try and get the harassment to stop with no result. Lots of drama. Apparently Aamco is fine with their employees using personal information to stalk customers. Females beware!!!

Not so Legit

Went to a job interview for a managers position selling work to customers and found out just how Aamco operates.Call there and they all have the same line on the phone to get you in the door. Once they have you then no matter what is wrong with your transmission they want approval for what is called a "soft rebuild" were they can pull the transmission out and tear it appart. Not every transmission needs this and they know it. Then they can go for the throat and do a "hard rebuild", because they already have your car there, what are you going to do take it somewhere else after the transmission is out? No you are what they call a captive customer. Take your call to somwhere that is a little bit more legitimate.

GREAT EXPERIENCE FOR US!

2002 Jetta - put that in a search engine and you will see nothing but TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS in nearly every result. Unfortunately, didn't do THAT research prior to purchase! After purchasing the car, within a couple weeks, 2nd gear was shifting very hard and then the check engine light came on, so no clue what was wrong. We took the car to the Renton AAMCO, and after diagnostic, it came back that the vacuum line was bad and the transmission was definately needing some work. AAMCO replaced the vacuum line (no charge!) and, after taking the transmission apart (with approval) we were given the run down. After they started the work, NO new surprises were thrown at us, and we were kept informed every step of the way. No complaints! They stuck with their quote, and the car drives great so far. Glen was superb in helping us get financing and was a pleasure to work with.. can't thank you guys enough!

AAMCO saves the day!

I'm a student from out of state. Needless to say my truck is my life. I'm not very car savvy so when my car started making some interesting noises, I called my father. He told me it sounded like a transmission problem and told me to contact aamco. He obviously knew what he was talking about because the guys at aamco were just awesome. They picked up my truck, towed it to Renton. They were quick and easy to work with. I will gladly give them my business again.

No Problems

I'm going to school full time here in Seattle and when my transmission started slipping I started to panic. I don't have time or energy to devote to getting my car fixed, especially a big repair like my transmission. My dad told me to call AAMCO and when I did they made what seemed like a HUGE problem practically disappear. They came to my house in Greenlake, trailered my car to the shop in Renton, offered to arrange a cheap rental (that I didn't need so I didn't,) and then fixed my car. They even offered to deliver it back to me but I got a ride to the shop. The manager was really friendly and helpful. They made what could have been a really stressful experience really easy. Thanks for everything guys.

Happy customer

I took my 96 Dodge Intrepid to Aamco after hearing of their free check up and diagnosis. Turned out the 42le needed a complete rebuild (had 205,000 mi. on it). They did the work on time and on quote + fixed a heater hose leak for $2.50 for the gasket, no labor, I knew I had a coolant leak somewhere but didn't know where, and changed out the engine carriage bushings for the cost of the bushings, also no labor, also knew they were bad but was too lazy to change them. Am very pleased with their work and service. Jack F. -

Thanks AAmco at Renton...I love my van again. The price was honest and at the estimate. It runs better than it did when I bought it last year. The manager woman is honest and knows her business. Thanks Again!
