December 2nd, we called Time Zone Motel in Reno for availability & was told to come over. A note on their door said go next door. At Horseshoe Motel, we learned there was no availability at Time Zone, so we paid $900 for the 3rd floor of Horseshoe. After checking in we found out;#1 the elevator was broke #2 when I mentioned I had an Emotional Support Chihuahua, I was told if I brought him, I'd be kicked out#3 the laundry was next door at the Time Zone #4 there were no bedside lamps, just 1 glaring stick-up across the roomBoth of us have disability issues. He is paralyzed in his right leg & arm from strokes & I have disorders, back injuries, fibromialgia, post-concussion syndrome & am losing my sight. We both have poor balance & stumbled on the stairs often. I told them we were having trouble with the stairs, but no helpful accommodations were offered. Because we use them for balance, I just had to wipe down the stickey, filthy walls. We constantly had to go up & down the 2 flights of stairs asking for; #1 remote batteries#2 broken laundry refund (I got none.) #3 when the elevator would be fixed#4 a lamp (I mentioned my bad eyes but was told NO, yet I saw 2 unused ones stored in the laundry room.)#5 the vacuum (we had to drag it on the stairs ourselves)#6 linens (we were told to go & find housekeeping ourselves). We were always treated with rudeness. (Bill looked for housekeeping once & the old man tried to 86 him.) When we asked, more often than not, we were waved away & told to come back later. They own at least 2 other motels on the block & there's availability at Horseshoe, yet we weren't offered anything with easier access or better facilities. Because of the broken elevator, we didn't drag up very many supplies, which meant more trips to the store, more stairs & our food money didn't last. It has been extremely stressful, especially without my Emotional Support. The accordian shower 'door' stayed 1/2 open and we had little room to shower. Bill, being minus the use of an arm and leg, with poor balance and me with my back and vertigo, were often dangerously close to slipping. We needed the vacuum badly, but last time had to carry it upstairs ourselves, so we didn't ask. We didn't change our sheets or towels as much as needed.December 24, I finally asked her for a room at a location with an elevator. She said next day. That was Christmas Eve and we were gone. We packed up everything. December 26 I asked, was told next day again. (Grandpa wouldn't tell me where she was.) The next day, she said if we stayed another month, yes. We weren't going to stay, obviously. We semi-unpacked in the filthy room in order to live. Both of us are clean, polite people. To treat us like we're not, lie to us about the Time Zone availability, disrespect us and then not offer help is unacceptable. We haven't asked for a refund because, if we've been mistreated when asking for just batteries & a lamp, we're afraid of the repurcussions we would suffer until we leave.

If I could , zero stars. The first night I checked in the manager asked to borrow $10 I felt like I couldn't say no because she was the one checking me in the room it was late at night and I didn't want her to say no needless to say she never pay me back I was doing monthlies and let her into my stay I was in my room took the day off from work and the phone rang I didn't answer it and I could hear the maintenance man Mike and the Landscaping guy outside my window acting like they were doing some work but I heard them whispering and talking to the manager over cell phone I guess anyhow I didn't know what they were even though I still can't believe it so I was just quiet as I can be so it would appear as though no one was there next thing you know I hear keys unlocking my door then the door opens and it's the manager she shocked to see me she has one piece of junk mail in her hand she throws it on my floor immediately backs out and shuts the door says you have mail I proceeded to tell the owner Jerry and he did nothing these people are constantly in your business will go in your room the moment they get the opportunity and seems as though the owner either knows about it or couldn't care less do not stay there
I stayed here and it was warm and comfortable and certainly safe. No bugs no roaches and laundry on site.
We stayed here for two weeks at the end of the first week we discovered that the room had bed bugs I was bit up pretty bad not my husband we went down to the office and told them about it when we asked if we could move they said no we can check out they have new rooms they just have sitting there and won't let anyone in them so I said well how about you spray or something to get rid of it they came and spray the spray guy picked the bed up sprayed the corners of the bed and box spring didn't spray anything else no other furniture was in and out in less than 10 minutes two days later they came back i was bit this time and now my husband too we went back to the office and told them again they said they would tell the owner that was a Saturday and it is now Tuesday we check out romrorow and they still haven't sprayed and the owner refused to give a refund.. or any compensation.
Great customer service, management was wonderful, however, it's quite small and outdated and the price is a bit High; but not too bad, they do offer weekly and monthly payment options, as well as a few amenities which covers the bare minimum TV, bed and Storage with cable and Wifi (no Showtime/HBO)it does have a fridge and microwave but no kitchen, but plenty of room to add stuff like a table and chairs, coffee brew, Toaster ect.
I have only been here few days, got mixed thoughts. Management is good. Work is being done. It is very conveinent for the persons coming to Reno for jobs. You just have to take care of your self, clean. But, thats normal. Enough furniture to get by, and room for more. Its close to public trans. Would give 6 stars if prices little lower.
Super bossy manager. But she does keep the riff Raff out. Quiet complex. The house next door even let's our pets use their lawn. We pick up after our own, but others in the neighborhood don't always. Manager and daughter look like white trash. They act very unbussines like. Can't hang out in other tenant's rooms?! I've been here 2 months and my room has been treated 3 times for bedbugs and I still have them. I asked for batteries for my t.v. remote, a plug for my sink so I could do dishes and a plug for the bathtub and was told no. They did give me a cleaning agent and rag to clean because the room was filthy. Dirty laundry room with only one set. The washer keeps throwing back all your quarters-very irritating. The best parts are Roberto's 99¢ taco Wednesdays next door, gas station 1 block away and Walgreens across the street with an ATM inside. It's owned by the same slumlords that own most monthly motels around here. Rooms start at $625 all utilities included.
Reno motel evicting a disabled vet and his siezure alert service dog after hotel manager steals his bike worth $4500. Served 3day notice 8am today, I called police, bike on property, police do nothing as usual, hotel run by thieving management evicting a disabled vet that doesn't even have a record. Owner threatened to send me to the hospital as well!A 1 star review of Best Bet Motor Lodge by Rodney C.:http://www.yelp.com/biz/best-bet-motor-lodge-reno?hrid=FPRdk-_5S8h3DQ-HDp-Y7g&utm_source=oshare&ref=yelp-android
