I can't imagine in my wildest dreams how anyone could say anything mean about Joanne or Caughlin Preschool. We had our little girl at Goddard school and due to an injury she had at 6 months old she was not able to speak so they became frustrated with her and told us to take her somewhere else. Caughlin was full when we first tried to take her there, they were close to home and I had heard rave reviews from several friends so we kept trying. Finally sweet Myra with the spirit of an angle found a place for her. I swear that day the angels were singing because it has changed our lives forever. They have nurtured our child so much that she not only started talking but she is ahead of her class in everything. At 5 years old she is speaking perfectly and knows everything her older brother does in second grade. We have decided to keep her at Caughlin for kindergarden because we love everything about Caughlin and every teacher there is so supportive. We transferred our boy from Goddard to Caughlin for the wonderful summer camp they offer and kept him there for the school program. He loves Caughlin so much he talked his best friend into changing to Caughlin too. I feel certain that the reason Caughlin is so awsome is due to Joanne's care and guidance. She treats my entire family with so much love and respect. The teachers there make us feel like family and they give us peace in our hearts everyday we drop our children off with them.
The below review surprised me because we have both of our children enrolled at Circle of Friends and I wouldn't take them anywhere else and consistently recommend them to our friends with kids. Our toddler has been here since he was 6 months old and our eight year old participates in the summer break program that consists of a field trip every day. This is a family run facility and they treat every one of the children like they are their own. They have essentially zero turnover in their staff which is reassuring to us as parents, our children go to school and see a familiar face everyday. Based on our children's reactions to Circle of Friends, our toddler bounding in daily to see his favorite teachers and our eight year old begging to go summer camp instead of staying home with mom, we know that they receive the emotional nurturing that makes us comfortable and they come home with the personal growth and development to back up that the curriculum used in the school is benefitting both of our boys.If you're looking for a family run learning center where your child will excel, both emotionally and educationally, I would recommend Circle of Friends.
I've been reading the past reviews on this place and I am in shock!! I cannot believe people would have things this bad to say about CSCC! I've been taking my 3 children there (ages 1-10) for two years now and I cannot be more satisfied with the facility. Always clean, children are always attended to, communication is always amazing and I couldn't imagine a better atmosphere for my children to be in. Anytime there is an issue (and with children that is a given), Leanne prefers to handle them personally and even if she's not around the situation is still handled amazingly! I have referred my friends/neighbors/co-workers to this daycare and two have them have enrolled their children- they are happy with the facility as well!Thank you CSCC, for all you do for our family. We're not just clients to you, and you're not just a place I drop my children off to, you're more like an extended family and do a great job helping my husband and I raise our children.
As the mom of a 4 year old and a 2 year old, I cannot speak highly enough of Caughlin Preschool. I worked at a Child Development Center for several years during college and when I had my first child and needed to find a caring and nurturing environment for her, I did some very thorough research, interviews and tours of popular schools in the Reno area. Choosing a pre-school is a very personal choice. What I personally liked the most about Caughlin Preschool when I first visited was the staff (Myra was my first contact). The staff is happy, they genuinely love children, they like each other (rare in any workplace!), they are intelligent, responsible and they communicate with respect to the children and parents. On top of it all, Caughlin is clean, my children are actually learning their letters, numbers, science, computers, etc., the other kids are friendly and, most importantly, my children come home happy.
Red Oak is a great learning center! They have a loving environment where I have see my child grow and thrive. They provide full meals that are healthy and hot for all of the kids, as well as a clean facility for the children to play. My youngest has learned so much from them. She often sings, and dances and shows me things that she learned during the day during dinner. My oldest daughter loves to spend her breaks there when she is off track with Washoe County School district!!!! All of the children love the owners. They are in and out of the classrooms when they are not running the front or fixing meals for the children. They are open and honest about everything going on in the center. Moving our Children to Red Oak was the best decision we ever made. You wont be disappointed when you place your children there as well.
I absolutely LOVE this center! Not only is the staff knowlegable, and friendly, they a incredibly passionate about their jobs and the children that are in their care. My youngest son is about to turn one and he has grown leaps and bounds since he's been attending Sweet Dreams. He's already walking and trying to say things like "all done", "hello", and "bye bye". The Director April is totally devoted to the center and Every child in it, its not all about making money to her its about the children's happiness, safety, and education. My 3 year old also attends and he absolutely loves his teachers. I woild recommend this center to everyone I know, because not only are the hours flexable its employees show love and compassion for their job, and the kids who attend are well cared for and extremely loved.
I have been using this daycare for close to a year. The staff is professional &kind, since they are a younger facility compared to other daycares & they are trying out a method that should have been in effect years ago (we ARE a 24hr town. A 24hr daycare is wonderful). The staff is diligent about any instructions you give for your child's care & have s progress report for you when you pick up your child. Yes, in the past they have had the usual growing pains of a new business presenting a new approach (first 24hr daycare in town). But they work with the appropriate entities & have fixed those minor issues. The staff is professional &treat my child well, as well as keep him mentally stimulated. I feel comfortable leaving my child in their care &that is my #1 concern
I love this place the staff is friendly and have genuine concern for the children attending. The rates are fair and their availability is amazing for someone who doesn't have a set schedule or someone who works nights. The director and co-director are amazing and have worked hard to make this daycare center a great atmosphere for children and parents alike. They have a set schedule for toddlers and older children and allow copious amounts of outdoor time on their playground for children to interact and play in a constructive manner as well as many age appropriate activities for all the kids. I absolutely love this center and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great childcare.
I highly recommend this daycare. I had my daughter go to two other daycares. She cried every morning. I felt awful. Then she started Circle of Friends, and she loved it. She did not cry, and she was excited to go. She would even ask to go on days she didn't have to. She is 4, so her teacher was Ms Mona. Ms. Mona does the most creative projects with the children, and she ties in education. The two ladies who own the daycare are great. When I picked my daughter up in the afternoons, both of these ladies would be involved with the children doing homework, puzzles, or just playing toys. My only complaint is having to take my daughter out because of quitting my job. Sarah H
I was also surprised by the comment below. My daughter started going there when she was two and stayed for 3 years. She learned so much while being there. She would always come telling me all the things she learned. They worked with me on training her for the potty. She absolutely loved it. I have an 8 month old son now and we have yet to need to put him in daycare but if we ever needed to that would be the only place I'd take him.To this day my daughter will mention the day care and the teachers. She became very close to one of the teachers Mariana. Who we still keep in contact with.
