The atmosphere is horrendous. They do not care about their students one bit. A lot of the teachers don't teach, they stand around. When you ask for help they get annoyed. When you ask to learn new things they get irritated and act like they are being asked to move mountains. The few teachers I liked and enjoyed, that helped, are no longer there. It was a complete waste of my time going to this school. I worked my butt off while I was there to keep good grades. I would fight through the day with little sleep because I was also working full time while going to school full time. I would do blow drys on a doll head for 8-10 hours a day because I wouldn’t get clients and couldn’t afford to color or cut my dolls hair regularly if at all. I didn't even get to finish and get my license because after having some medical/mental issues they denied me the ability to go back and finish. At one point, the environment was getting so hard on me and I was having enough issues, to where I wasn’t showing up to school as much as I was supposed to. I get told that it’s my own fault for this environment. “You get out what you put in.” I put in everything I had. Time, money and energy. I had reached out a few times to express what types of issues I had going on and they basically told me to suck it up and deal it, that school needs to be taken care of before everything else. That it was my number one priority now. It was such a struggle finding things to keep me busy when I didn’t have clients. Seeing as I am from a town an hour+ away it was hard to convince friends and family to come in so I relied on walk ins, which I rarely got. I am in so much debt to not have a license, all so they can still get their money at the end of the day. I was so ecstatic to go here but that is a decision I fully regret and wish I could change. If I would have known more about this school I never would have set foot in it!

You will get a great education and you will have lots of fun going to school here. As long as you get along with the staff otherwise you will hate life for a little more than a year. Not to mention the serious lack of professionalism that occurs almost daily.
Absolutely beautiful place with the sweetest students and teachers. I came here to get a touch up. The student that worked on me were so kind. My hair was really messed up from the school I went to before but her and two of her teacher worked to make my hair look nice. While they were moving I went some where else. Well I lived to regret it. I would recommend anyone that wants a good job and a beautiful place to go. I went to their old location before and their new location is absolutely amazing. I was just speechless. Good job girls. I will keep coming back. The teachers were Becky and Stacy. Thanks girls
I don't mind being a guinea pig for students - they have to learn somehow. What I did mind was the supervisors - at least one of which shouldn't be around color, let alone instruct it. I now look like a zebra with three different colors (new roots, Academy root color & prior ends) when instructor told student to use completely wrong color last time I went. Before spending the money for classes, I would definitely check out quality of instructors! Yes, noticed receptionist and several students with an 'attitude' also. Those students will have a tough time when they try working instead of just practicing!
