This has always been my fav Thai food. Just before Xmas my fried and I went for lunch. We were early and anticipating a wonderful time. There was plenty of room but we were seated next to the door an a small booth w/ menus. A minute later she came back for our order. We explained we had just sat down and needed more time. Five min later she was back so we quickly made up our minds. The food arrived about 10 min later looking yummy and that it was! Always nicely presented! About half way through she asked if we were done. We said no. We were talking and enjoying ourselves and were not taking up space as there were still room for others. She kept coming back and finally she reached between us and stated taking the condiments off the table. This was rude to say the least. She came back and just stood there so we got up and left. Maybe he long eyelashes kept her from seeing what she was doing. I am sure is Max had been there this never would have happened! Just went last eve for dinner and it was much more upscale. Waiter professionally attired and waitress. Both were excellent. If noon lunches have cooled off I can see why, I will return for dinner and my fav food! I would give another star except for the luch service and that was NOT the first time!!

Best Thai food in this region, my favorite restaurant
I RECOMMEND THEM - Rock Star! Simply Put - The Best Thai on the East Side, perhaps in all of Seattle. Prices are good, service is great and the management totally rocks!
Typhoon has closed their doors. This location is now Racha Thai with sister locations in Woodinville, Mercer Island, and Tukwila. I was never a huge fan of Typhoon (too expensive and too Americanized) so I thought I would try the new Racha Thai that went into this space. The food was four out of five stars. The menu is varied and has a TON of menu items that are not found in 99% of other Thai restaurants. I ordered the following items:I tried to order the Miang Kum (which was on the menu) but they said they couldn't provide it.Crying Tiger (Beef Salad): Wonderful. Full flavored tender beef strips with mint, basil and cilantro leaves.Panang Curry with beef: Good flavor and plentiful. The favorite for everyone at the table.Garlic Delight with Chicken: Lots of garlic flavor and served on a sizzling plate! The brocolli wasn't overcooked and the chicken was tender.Basil Fried Rice: Nicely cooked without too much grease but 'slightly' disappointed that it didn't come with more basil.Prikkhing Prince with Pork: Most disappointed in this dish. The green beans weren't the authentic "long beans" used in Thailand, the kaffir lime leaves were missing, and the curry paste was not the same that I've had in Thailand. If you didn't know what the authentic dish was suppose to be this woud be an okay dish. The ambiance was clean and modern BUT had NO hint of Thailand anywhere! Not bad, but sad.My biggest problem was with the customer service. The restaurant was half full but we (four of us) were seated in the back next to the open kitchen (noisy, hot and hidden). It took them 20 minutes to serve us with any water! It didn't help that we left another restaurant because they were going to be too slow to allow us to make it to a movie on time. We also had to wait a long time for them to process our credit cards. Consequently we missed our movie. The food was good enough to bring me back but if the service doesn't improve it will be the last time.
