I have never dealt with a group of doctors that were as unprofessional as the ones that work at the Greenfield Road location (located inside of the Advance Building, on the corner of 9 mile and Greenfield). I have seen 3 different doctors as that location, and each time the wait is over and hour and a half AFTER my appointment time. Today I was in the waiting room for 3 hours total. 3 HOURS TOTAL. Not even mentioning that I have a 10-month-old baby that I have to attempt to keep quietly entertained in the waiting room full of other patients. Whom of which I also see waiting in there for several hours.
The rooms are not set up to accommodate a wheelchair or, in my case, a stroller. I knocked over a chair trying to get the door open so my baby and I could walk (ourselves, because the doctors can’t be bothered to walk you 5 steps) to the office to exit.
The secretaries have told me incorrect dates while scheduling appointments, causing me to drive across town early in the morning only to get there and be told that they meant, “next Wednesday”. I have also been told to “call the other office” even though they only have one listed phone number, which is the one that I called.
I’ve had doctors inform me that they “didn’t know I was on their schedule” as an excuse for the long wait, and as if it is somehow my fault that their secretaries are incompetent.
I had a really hard time biting my tongue when I handed over my debit card to spend my weekly grocery budget on the co-pay after all of this. Sadly, they have one of those pressurized closing doors, so I couldn’t even slam it on the way out.
I will never return to this terrible facility, and I advise you to avoid it at all costs.

I must add that I have seen two different psychiatrists and both were very quick to tell me that they could not prescribe any medication to me because I am nursing my child. Huffington Post recently released and article titled ‘Most Medications Safe For Nursing Mothers: Report’.* Neither of the two doctors stopped to take into consideration the state of my mental health.

Ever since my first appointment with this practice, I've felt total comfort. You can tell that this is a very hard working team. From the front office staff, to the clinicians themselves! I've referred many friends and family members here. I did have an appointment to see the psychiatrist, the Dr. was running a bit behind, but the front office staff was considerate enough to offer me a refreshment and assure me that I will be seen shortly, and I was. I will continue my services here. Thank you guys!

Having read the previous review, I was extremely hesitant about seeking treatment through A Better Tomorrow Counseling Services. I was more than satisfied with the my experience at the Redford location. I'm not sure which doctors the previous reviewer met with, but Dr. Redmond was absolutely wonderful! His office is very clean, comfortable, and inviting. The wait time for my appointment was less than 10 min. Unlike other doctors' offices I've been to, I never felt hurried or rushed. During my session, Dr. Redmond was professional as well as thorough. I would highly recommend that anyone seeking counseling services visit A Better Tomorrow Counseling in Redford.
