Michelle was very helpful in getting me the best deal for repairing the dent on my car. Overall I am EXTREMELY HAPPY :) They are very courteous and professional. I will definitely go back and refer to my friends. You get a 10 in my book. Thank you Michelle and the Maaco crew.
I honestly Would NOT recommend Redding Maaco to ANYONE!!! After talking to many unhappy customers and employees their & actually witnessing it for my self how they treat customers an their vehicles I was very disappointed to learn how the place really worked. They will mark you up for every bit of body damage an chip repairs then turn around & then cut all corners an not even do half the work you payed for with your hard earned money, only to save them time & money! As a Maaco franchise they get paint for the cost of almost nothing from their suppliers but I guess they still can't afford the time to care about the quality of their paint jobs whether its a 500$ or a 2000$ job the quality will never be their regardless!!! Maaco actually excuse their lack of professionalism in writing. "MAACO IN REDDING IS A PRODUCTION PAINT COMPANY NOT A CUSTOM PAINT & BODY SHOP" & Maaco reserves the right to set the level of workmanship...witch is the lowest of low to save time & money!
The owner Jerry Arnold bought a Maaco franchise a few years back knowing nothing about the auto paint industry or collision repair at that matter only hoping to make tons of profit, obviously. He in fact took some online classes to be a certified body man but has never actually had hands on experience as a real professional in the business at all but it's that easy these day. His wife Michelle is very rude & totally unprofessional. Seems like she doesn't have a clue what she is talking about & she won't let u argue that, if she does your estimate expect u will be probably be marked up for everything & half the work an lowest quality will be the results & they probably will pay to remove this review like they have done with many others.
Luckily for them the employees in the shop are all good at what they & know what they are doing but don't agree with how they run the place. So unfortunately for you as the customer the owners don't allow them to put in the time to do the work right an are only allowed do the bare minimum & only want them to "hurry up" & get on to the next vehicle regardless what you payed. "It's not about quality, it's about quantity".. So expect to see the lowest of quality!!!
If you do get a Maaco paint job really just take the time to look at ur paint job an point out the flaws they try and hide & don't except it, have them redo it & redo it till they get it right!
I understand u can't get a show room paint job for 500$ but it should always be a professional job if your paying a legitimate business for a trade, an done to the very best of their ability without messing up someone's car & excusing their negligence with the fact that their a production paint company not a custom body shop. Maaco paint jobs look decent from 20ft away I'll give them that if that's what ur looking for, but If you really care about your vehicle an want it to look great, last longer then the lifetime of your car and add value to it take it to a real certified & professional body shop!
Ok I have seen some bad reviews for maacoredding how ever. It was a great experience for Me Kim the manager is just awesome her knowledge and customer service is better then any shop in town.....yes u get what you pay for but let me tell u I got a base coat clear coat job and it was perfect. The owners should be grateful to have Kim at the front of there business I will be back and tell everyone to come there.
Love my truck thanks maacoredding and thank you Kim for your service to me
We just purchased a 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 and it was an eyesore. We took it to Maaco and it only took 2 days to complete it. When we went to pick it up, I could not believe it was the same truck. It looks fantastic and it was done for a great price. I can't wait to use it to tow my new trailer!
