American Lawn Mowers

We took our mower in to get a new belt. When we took it in it was running fine. Went to pick it up and was charged $400 for a new belt. Got it home and it would not turn over at all and battery won’t charge either. Do not go to him because he scams you into paying for parts you don’t even need.

I took my Toro mower in for an oil change

and a new cable for the self propelled

wheels. It cost me over $100.00.

I did not check the oil when I got home

and started to mow. Big mistake!

The entire motor exploded

because there was no oil in it.

When I took it back, I was told he could

fix it with used parts so it wouldn't cost me

so much. At which time I told him I should

not have to pay for anything because he

negelected to put oil in it. He then started

screaming in my face. picked up my mower,

threw it in the back of my truck breaking

the handle and parts flew off, also denting

my truck. He then screamed at me to get off his property. I am a small sixty year old female.

I called the police because he was insanely

violent. He denied the whole thing.

He told her I was yelling at him...

I wish I could have but I couldn't get a

word out!

The police officer said she was certain he was

lying but there was nothing she could do.

It was my word against his. She said he

was very rude to her also. She suggested

I take him to small claims court, but while

he was screaming absentities in my

face, he grabbed my

receipt out of my hand, tore it up and

threw it down the street.

I was out the $100.00 plus a $550.00

lawn mower. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I almost did not go because of the previous rating but everything went just fine and I got same day service

Don't take your mower here! We took our mower in because it was leaking oil. We were told that we would get a phone call with an estimate, but never did. Two weeks later, we called to inquire about the repairs, it was done and cost $80. Ok, fine. We picked the mower up and noticed a little oil residue on the deck, but figured it was just from being repaired. After using the mower that evening, it started to leak oil everywhere. When I returned to the repair shop the next day, the man said it had a cracked block and that it wasn't worth fixing. He had "no idea" anything like that was wrong with it...it was working "perfectly" when he was finished with it. No refund, and no working mower. We paid $80 to use our mower one time. :(
