My Daughter has danced at On Your Toes for 4 years now. We love the teachers and have really enjoyed growing with them last year with the BIG move to the new studio. My daughter loves that their is two dance rooms now so even more room to dance like crazy
Well the instruction was good from what I could tell being a male with no experience, But the recital was not . It was split into two different shows so you had to pay twice for one showing. Your not allowed to video tape and have to pay for their video; no biggie, I get it. But the video was amateur hour and you cant even tell the kids apart. To top it off they said farewell to two instructors that were leaving. I agree it should be on stage and should be a moment with the students and instructors but after three long songs of slides and the entire audience sitting there with 3 year olds impatiently sitting on the stage .....well it just got awkward.
I cannot speak highly enough of Lia Malcolm. Three years ago, I ‘discovered’ Dance Elite and made the decision to have my girls begin their training at the studio. It is truly the best decision I have made in regards to their dance education. Lia is an amazing teacher who has great respect for her students as individuals, and cares passionately about their dancing. Drawing upon her vast training with Britain’s Royal Ballet, she excels in taking her students to levels of skill and performance beyond their own expectations. My youngest daughter, Sara, age 9, applied for two prestigious summer dance intensives this year, The Rock School of Dance in Philadelphia, and Walnut Hill Summer Youth Dance in Natick, Massachusetts. I attribute her acceptance into both programs to the excellent technical training she has received from Lia. This training is beyond doubt the best that Rapid City has to offer. I feel that my children are very fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from such a wonderful master teacher and artist!
