I wish I could give this place 0 stars... They are thieves! Save your time and money and go somewhere else! The owner Malcom is rude, disrespectful, and should be reported to authorities.
On January 5th, I authorized a charge to my credit card of $1,000 for my assistant.
On January 6th, my card WITHOUT my authorization was run for $795! Then on January 14th for another $107.70! NEITHER one of these was authorized by myself or my assistant . Her van wasn't even in the shop until the 13th! This is theft!
My assistant paid with her own credit card and additional $425 and then cash of $183.79. So the job should have been completed by then.
On January 17th another $795 was run, January 25th another $795 was run, AND again on the 25th another $795 was run (but that shows as credited back). Malcom says the 17th was credited back, but the receipt shows offline, which means it didn't go through. (On the bbb website, someone else complained of this "offline" trick they use).
My card has been charged for $3,287.70 and ONLY $1,000 was authorized. I reported as fraud to my credit card company, which Malcom approved the credit back (as he should because he knows he's in the wrong!)
We requested from Malcom the owner's information to contact them, and we were given a gmail email, which actually ended up going to him. So there's no one else to report him to.
I found out from a couple other people, that they were also stiffed their money, as well as having faulty working done.
Malcom is an incapable manager. He wanted to give me a check...no thanks! Someone else I know had a check bounced by them, and never received their money. In regards to having my credit card run numerous times for $795, he said that was an over site, and would fix it. However, it shouldn't have been done in the first place, and over a few days, AND I should have been contacted.
I'm still considering reporting them to the police, and even the news! I feel violated!
I took my SUV in on a Friday for an oil change. I was told that wrong filter was delivered, at this point I had to get to a previous engagement. I was told that he'd reorder the filter and to return Monday, because I worked on Saturdays and it will be there. I returned Monday only to find out that he never reordered the filter. He called while my Daughter and I waited. The part arrived after about 45 minutes. Again, it was the wrong filter. The young lady went to pick up the part. Finally, after another 40 or more minutes, my oil was changed. That was a first for me. Three days for an oil change!
My service was horrible. Its going on two weeks n i was told 3 diff times that my truck would be ready. First i was told truck would be ready on the 5th, then i was told they needed 300 more after i paid 1,352.00 (that wasnt happening) i was even told after i paid in full that i owe taxes on the total price ( not happening either) then i was told tues 9th it be ready, then i was told Wednesday 10th it def would be ready at 6:30.... When i got here at 6:20 they was closed. My truck is not even on a lift, yet its sitting in the parking lot with the radio out! So now i have to wait till tomorrow to TRY to get my truck. I wouldnt even be as mad if i wasnt lied to, like, why tell me to get my truck after hrs??? This is coming from a woman with two jobs and two kids.... I need my vehicle!
They know their job. Sometimes. I had them change a catalyst converter, and they mounted the old crappy gasket back instead of the new that came along. Not very serious and it cost me another $180 to fix it. On the positive side, they are nice people and you can rent their car lifts to try your own repairs. They also have good prices for exhaust system change. Definitely better than most but not perfect.
I have a Nissan Altima and I took my car in to get a quote on some repairs. I was quoted a price and when I went to have the work done I actually paid what I was quoted the service was excellent. As a female you're always leery of what else will they come up with next but I didn't have that problem at this car shop.
I found the shop via the yellow pages. I went to get an estimate for my Porche. They weren't the cheapest but they weren't the highest either. In fact what won me over was the customer service. Before I could agree to the quote I had to have my hubby approve them doing the work. My husband went there spoke with the owner. They talked like they were best friends lol I was like HELLLO IM HERE TOO lol anyway they did a great job on my car. My husband was very pleased as well.
I have a Mercedes Benz. This place came highly recommended. Let's just say I needed A LOT of work. I got a quote . I'll admit I couldn't afford what they were charging me. They literally went down the list and pointed out what was most important to get completed first. At the end of the day I paid what I agreed that I could afford. They were understanding and I didn't feel like they were being shady. Thanks guys.
I just left there I hope this review goes through from my phone. Great work. These guys are true car professionals. I got an oil change and I was not bombarded with other work that needed to be done. I appreciated not trying to be persuaded into getting more work done.
I am highly pleased with the service. I took my truck to get it inspected,( by the way the company is a certified inspector) and I received top notch service. The customer service was hands down the best. As a female, we are often taken advantage of in the car repairing industry and I'm a true testament to not being taken advantage of at Hi-Tech. No, my truck did not pass inspection; in fact, I had actually purchased a lemon. (Private seller took cold advantage) My vehicle needed a lot of work. I had the estimate written down which clearly showed all work that needed to be done, as well as the cost for labor. When I say that I shopped that that estimate around.....I LEFT NO STONE UNTURNED!!! Hi-Tech Boyz had the best price around. Now communication is key when dealing with an auto repair place. I made sure everything I was quoted at Hi-Tech was in writing with the understanding that once they really get into the repairs if they noticed other issues outside of what I was quoted, they would call me first to discuss the issues before proceeding forward. I never received any false charges on my credit card nor did I encounter any fraudulent activities. Now with my truck being in the shape that it was in, they could have RAILROADED me in costs and labor. They told me what was most important to address first and what could wait for a little while. I appreciated the honesty. I absolutely loved the customer service. They were professional and my car was fixed in a timely manner. As a business owner myself, I understand the importance of building a good customer service based business and I do NOT accept being treated LESS than professional. Did I read the reviews before taking in my truck.....YES!!! Why did I take a chance inspite of a few bad reviews? I know that you can't please everyone in business and the good reviews far out waved the bad reviews. I had my own encounter with this company and it was NOTHING LESS THAN PROFESSIONAL AND PLEASANT!!! If I ever need further repairs you can believe I'm taking my car back to HI-TECH BOYZ!!! I couldn't wait for the work to be completed on my truck so that I could share my experience.
