Go literally, anywhere else.I am not the type of person to leave negative reviews about businesses. We are, after all human and mistakes are easily made but not always easily corrected. However, Advantage Lending (AL) has earned the review I am about to write, without prejudice.If you want a home buying experience that ends in two delayed closing dates, costs you more money than it should, and leaves you wishing you'd never tried to buy a house in the first place, THIS is the company for you. The employees at AL will spell your name wrong on forms and then tell you you're being difficult when you ask for it to be corrected. They will tell you they have 35 years of experience with VA loans. Yet they will be unable to tell you what VA paperwork is required and how to fill it out. They will provide you documentation to sign with incorrect loan amounts and closing dates, but tell you you MUST sign in order to meet the next deadline (because, again proof reading is too hard). They will respond to your e-mails sometimes, and if you call they will certainly not answer. They won't call back if you leave a voice mail. They will respond to your e-mail that asks, "Can someone please call me?" with an e-mail...saying they can't call. They will offer you a lender credit and then the DAY OF CLOSING say that the credit covers costs you were never told you had to cover. These words cannot truly express how difficult the people at AL made this entire process. Words cannot do enough to warn others against going to this company for business. Our experience was not just difficult, it was impossible. We were spoken down to, not spoken to at all, and certainly not treated with any semblance of respect. I cannot imagine how I would have been treated had I not shown up to their office in uniform with my tall, imposing husband. I cannot imagine how they treat other customers; if you do take your business to them, prepare for battle. If I could give them negative stars, I would.

Mike is a nice guy don't get me wrong but he doesn't live up to his promises, he said he was going to show up the day of closing and never did, he was at disney world and didn't make me aware which is no problem with but his office assistant had no idea of what was going on. Also he never showed to the second closing like he said he would. He had me so stressed out during the process I just wanted to give up. My realtor could never get in touch with him. If he would've been more responsive the process wouldn't have taken so long. I would not recommend him at all. Saving the little amount of money i did is not worth the stress believe me.
Great company. Very knowledgeable about what they are doing. This is the place to go!
The HUD document looks fine JP. We are very pleased with the way that you and Marc handled our refinancing. You both were very thorough in your work and gave us answers in a timely fashion, other than the first night when Marc wouldn't give me the rate until we went through an hour of phone calls. That part could have been more up front. We are also pleased to having it settled so quickly and essentially over the phone or on e-mail. Believe me I was skeptical given the fact that we found Foundation Financial Group on the internet. You hear of so many scams so I felt overly cautious about the process. Having the documents sent in a locked format did help alleviate some of that suspicion. Gaby did a thorough job as well in a timely fashion. Thanks so much for all of your help. I will recommend Foundation Financial Group if I have friends or family in need of financing.
