Pretty terrible. We went on a hot day to escape the heat - it was 87 degrees inside. The skates were terrible and we could tell they weren't worked on AT ALL - I had to switch 3 times because the laces were all too short to tie all the way up (and these were the short skates vs ankle skates), and they were not using any disinfectant in the skates when they were returned. 50¢ for a tap water at the snack bar. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the rink was very large, and they had a bouncy castle at one end of the rink. Drive the extra miles and go to Wheels in Durham or Carolina Skate Land in Dunn.

New owners since October 2012. The old skate ranch is no longer... This new place ROCKS! Its clean, new skates, floor is well maintained, staff is always smiling. My daughter had her birthday party and her school's party at United Skates. They play lots of games with the kids on the skate floor and give out really nice prizes. I'm glad they are becoming a staple for families and children in the community. I look forward to checking out their Adult Night sessions as well. Great job so far United Skates!
