I absolutely LOVE this place! I have eaten here probably 100 times and never have had a bad meal. Service is professional and friendly. Ambiance very pleasing. They have a full bar and outdoor seating. My personal favs are the Thai Basil Chicken, Hibachi Chicken, Hibachi Steak and General Tso Chicken. Large portions of very fresh tasting food. A huge notch above anything else in the area.
Ate there last night for the first time. Menu had a lot of variety and food was great. Staff was engaging and friendly. We will definitely go back!
By far one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. We went on a Monday evening for the price fixe menu and had reservations. We were seated promptly and our waiter asked for our drink order. We weren't given a wine menu so he returned with one and it was about fifteen minutes later than he came back to take our order. We ordered drinks and dinner at the same time. Our appetizers came out promptly. Unfortunately it was another hour and ten minutes before our entrees arrived. Many tables around us that arrived after us received their meals first. I told the waiter that I realize this probably wasn't his fault but that I would like to speak to a manager. The portions were small, my order of scallops consisted of three. My husbands medium rare steak was very overcooked. He has never sent back a meal before, but did this time after the waiter told him to "cut into the middle, it might be medium rare there." I again asked to speak to the manager and was told that "some people don't understand that fine dining takes time." I said I would agree if the tables around us had not received their meals first. He said "different meals take different times." The table beside us had scallops as well and as I said previously, my husbands steak was overcooked. We asked for the check and our desserts to go. The manager never came over and we got tired of waiting for desserts and left. This was my fourth time dining here and it will be my last. Also, I posted this on their facebook page and they deleted it.
Horrible waitress (Gina). When my Fam of 7 first walked in we noticed many available seats and huge booths in this restaurant. A max of 5 occupied tables. The waitress set my family in the back. Overlooked that part initially until I notice most African Americans were on one side of the restaurant. My Fam and I noticed the waitress attitude, lackness, and failure to inform is on certain things. We were being overlooked "in the back". The waitress informed me I was not able to get a pineapple drink (only juice) refill for my daughter (we don't drink soda and she doesn't like tea). I could NOT even purchase another pineapple juice per Gina....."wtf". I had to get my daughter a Sierra mist (which she didn't drink). I paid for both of the drinks plus my drink though. Waitress was asked if they offer ice cream cot the kids. She quoted me that plain vanilla ice cream was 99 cents. After asking for 3, she arrived at the table with vanilla ice cream drizzled in chocolate. The ice cream was noted from a local grocery store ice cream bucket. One of the kids don't like chocolate. When asked the waitress about the misinforming of chocolate, she continue to say she did say the chocolate was included. All lies. The bills was ALL wrong. The ice cream was no longer the price quoted by Gina but now $1.95. Had to request the manager bc of the issues and tip was reduced extremely. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
So my wife and drive by this place all the time but never been, finally we decided to check it out. We went on a Saturday evening and ended up having like hour wait, but boy let me tell you, it was totally worth it! The staff was super friendly and helped out understanding the menu, and the food was unreal, so good!
Probably the all-time worst meal I have ever eaten. Horrible food, small portions (which was fine, considering how horrible it was). The service was slow and incompetent.
The food is amazing no doubt, we've always loved their food, if you want to have authentic Japanese food, this is definitely the place to go. However, if you have a big party more than 6 people, I'll suggest you to go somewhere else. We had an weird almost unpleasant experience last week when we had 7 people party. First of all, the waitress messed up my order, the first mistake she made was she doesn't repeat everyone's order when we were placing order, and she insisted that I told her wrong order. Second, when we were checking out, she miscalculated one of our friends' changes, it was $10 different. Last which is also the most weird one, when she gave us bills, not only she just used post-it to write down each group's total amount without any listed item, but when we got our receipt back, she already hand written down every one's mandatory 18% gratitude, that made us feel really uncomfortable and disrespectful. It is a common sense that you should tip over 18% if you have a more than 6 people big party, she could have just address to us (even though we all already know this rule)but instead, she just wrote the tips by herself, especially we couldn't see the listed items on our receipt. I'll say the food is good but they need improve on their customer service.
One of my family's go-to dinner spots. Tokyo House has been around for nearly two decades now and the food and service has always been consistent. Definitely great for a relaxing and reliably satisfying meal. Their menu is pretty extensive and the kids love it too. Some of our favorites: hamachi kama, Godzilla Roll, Chicken Katsu, sushi and sashimi, fried banana dessert. The menu is not as authentic as Waraji but what you get is great value with their reasonable prices.
My favorite sushi restaurant in the Triangle area. The fish is always fresh, menu has something for everyone, service is just right, and the atmosphere suits many occasions (family dinner/group birthday/casual date night). I always order from the dinner set menu, which includes soup, salad, appetizer, tempura, sushi, and an entree (sashimi/steak/chicken). I dined in for lunch last month and discovered that they recently started serving ramen (which ended up being delicious). My only suggestion is that each dinner set should include a small dessert.
Have heard about this place for a while now but never gotten the chance to try it out. So I met a friend there this week and I was blown away by how good the food was. I am by no means a sushi expert, but I really enjoyed both of the rolls I ordered per waiters suggestion. The service was nice and not overwhelming and the wait time was minimal. The only complaint I have is that the actually pieces of sushi were huge and hard to chew as one bite (if that can even be considered a complaint). If you are looking for good sushi I recommend!
