Dr. Gore is a GREAT vet. My dogs and I had an awesome experience when we went for our routine visit. I was new to the area and had tried a couple other vets first but found what I was looking for at Spring Forest Animal Hospital. The staff was friendly & knowledgeable. I also took a tour of their boarding facility and was very impressed, I'll be boarding my dogs this spring. Thanks Dr. Gore!!
What a homey place to board your loved ones. No one likes to be away from their pets but if you have to this is the place to take them! From the receptionist to the Technicians, you can see how much they enjoy what they do. They have a groomer on site and they even have a hospital next door where Dr. Gore performs any and all types of services associated with pet care.

I just moved to the area and was quite picky about picking out a new VET. I took my beagle mix in today for a routine yearly checkup & some of the usual shots (Distemper, etc...) Staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Dr. Gore was very nice, and took her time in the appointment. Turns out my pup did have an ear infection, and yes the meds were a little pricey...but that is a part of being a pet owner...I do not think it's fair to judge a vets office by the cost of you medication, it's your choice to treat your pets medical issues, and YOUR choice to own a pet in the first place. You've got to think about the cost from a business owners perspective as well, all that equipment, test strips, and products they supply aren't cheap...they rely on those ""upcharges"" tpo keep afloat. I was not all pressured to run extra tests, and I actually opted out of a couple of the routine services that I felt were not necessary and saved myself a couple bucks, and they did not try to talk me out of it. Overall I was very pleased with my experience and will continue to use their services! Thank you Dr. Gore & staff!!!!!

Spring Forest Animal Hospital is the best animal hospital i have ever been to. It provides quality care to your animals, and treat them as if they where there own. They are so good with the dogs, and give them such love and affection. My boy Rue loves to go here for boarding and daycare. He has such a good time and comes home so tired that he is ready to hit the sheets! He absolutely loves it here , as well as i do. I think i have found the best place for my animal and wont stop taking him here. Prices are excellent! You are NEVER overcharged , and trust me, YOUR MONEY IS WELL SPENT. Dr. Gore is amazing, and i love her! GO SPRING FOREST ANIMAL HOSPITAL

This place is SUCH A RIP OFF- totally unprofessional staff, lie about cost and take advantage of you when you have no choice. Walk in for a shot and end up with a $700 bill- try to board your dog and they call you when you are 300 miles away and tell you you have to pay for an office visit and full exam to get her four shots they didn't tell you about when you dropped her off. They have held me hostage one too many times and I am done with them. I asked for a payment plan on the $700- I was told to apply for a credit card. DON'T GO HERE.

While Spring Forest Animal Hospital has an amazing staff and boarding facility, and Dr. Gore is a good vet, she charges an outrageous amt. of money for pet medications. For example, Dr. Gore charges for 60 pills of each:
enalapril 5mg: $36.50 (North Wake Animal Hosp: $11.00
online @ PetMeds: $7.20),
theophylline 100 mg: $48.50 (North Wake Animal Hosp: $24.00
online @ PetMeds: $18.00),
thyrosyn 0.1mg: $36.50 (North Wake Animal Hosp. $3.00
online @ PetMeds: $3.60)
My dog needs these pills twice a day = $121.50/month from Dr. Gore versus $38.00/month from North Wake Animal Hosp. & $28.80 from PetMeds plus shipping.
Also, North Wake Animal Hosp. will write pet prescriptions so you can choose to get the meds online (it's required), but Dr. Gore will not because she's not convinced of where online pet meds are coming from. While that may be a valid point, I think #1: clients should be able to choose what they want to do & #2: considering the amt. she is charging for meds that reasoning seems pretty sketchy and #3: if she was really concerned about the pet's health she would lower her med prices - after all, North Wake Animal Hospital is charging a reasonable amt (& they have been in business for years) - why can't she?
One last comment: for my dog's reg. check up with North Wake they voluntarily cut her nails at no additional charge.
