It seem like insurance companies are constantly controlling our lives from health insurance to home owners insurance and everything in between. When I was rear ended, no fault of my own, I was told by the other driver's insurance that they recommended their own body shop but I could take it wherever I wanted and I'm so happy I went with my gut and took it where I wanted. I got a recommendation from my mechanic that I trusted and College Paint and Body were great! They are a local, family business that has been around forever. Not only did they do a great job, but they dealt with the insurance company so I didn't have to. Keep in mind that Jimmy is old school and sometimes hard to understand, but he's hilarious and knows his stuff. If you have a hard time understanding him, just ask to speak to James. We will always take our cars here. Our Acura looks fantastic and they really cared that we were happy with the fished product.

My car is in their shop now. I'll post some info when they are done. So far it has been a great experience working with them. I feel these guys are honest and reasonable.

James and Jimmy are fair, honest, and hilarious. There is a reason they've been in business for so long (since 1958 the website says!) Jimmy can come across as a curmudgeon sometimes, but lemme tell you, i know the man, and while he won't want it known, he cares about his customers, his friends and his employees as much as any business owner i've ever seen. James is steady, and honest, and thorough, and one of the nicest men on the planet. You can have full confidence taking your vehicle here. I would also say, you DO NOT need to go where your insurance company refers you to. it is illegal for them to mandate where you go (though they can direct you or refer you to places) when it comes to Auto Body Collision repair, you can go anywhere you want....Go to College Paint!
