Check this out. I walked into my bonus room office to find a small pile of sawdust and carpenter ant bug parts (ugg!) on my desk which had fallen from between the cracks in my ceiling. We called Clegg's for an estimate on this and for a termite inspection. The rep came out and after a few minutes, decided that the problem was carpet beetles in the ceiling. ($ 125.00 to get rid of). We were skeptical but he moved on to the termite inspection and went under the house and let us know that although there were signs that the house had a termite problem in the past there were no termites now. He worked up a $ 2000.00 plan for us to defnd against termites that we could have for $ 695.00 if we signed the contract that day. He also said we needed a new vapor barrier to the tune of $ 400 or so, which we probably do need. On advise from the internet we pumped a bunch of True Value Hardware Carpenter Ant Killer Dust into the ceiling and guess what came out. Yep, Carpenter Ants! A bunch of them. We didn't call back Cleggs but when they called back to follow up I told him that they were way off on the ""carpet beetles"" and I really had no confidence in the rest of what they told me since they didn't get right what I called them for in the first place. I asked him if he was blowing me off on the ants in order to try to sell me a termite/vapor barrier contract and he argued with me! I can't help but wonder if this is how Cleggs ""trains"" their techs or this dude is on his own with this approach. We didn't fall for it at any rate and I will not call them again. Cleggs: Please don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining.

The cleggs rep. that came out to our home was fantastic, we had already had 3 quotes and the cleggs employee took the time to explain the termite treatment from beginning to end, the other companies gave us a price and left immediately when we told them we were getting other estimates. Great service really felt like a customer and not a number. Thanks
