I recently went to Autobell on Millbrook rd. It was the worst experience.I have a black car, so you can see everything. When the guy called me over, there was towel lint all over my car!! I asked the guy to get it off. He told me that autobell towels have alot of lint and it always do that. He said when you start driving, it will blow off!!!! BS, tell me anything! They wouldn't give me a refund so I could go somewhere else. I reached out to management and the guy that called me could care less, and still no refund. I was passing through on my way home so that location is out of my way, so I would have liked to get a refund and go to a different location, but I REFUSE to go back to that one... They should have been ashame to send me out of there like that. The quality of that car was was terrible. Oh and the tires were visibly dirty as well... Ridiculous!
The staff was polite and quick. The problem was they were to quick. I had to show them what needed to be vacuumed and cleaned once it came out of the car wash. Even after they tried to clean what I told them, I had to take the rag and clean it myself. I have been to two other locations and they have been great, but the Millbrook location would not be my choice in the future.

All the bad reviews listed here are true. If you have nothing better to do (and need a good laugh), go to the AUTOBELL and watch as others get their cars destroyed (WARNING: DO NOT GET YOUR CAR WASHED at AUTOBELL, just watch others). I went there over a year ago and swore I wouldn’t go back. Yesterday I was passing by and thought that maybe they got their act together, but I was wrong. It would have been a very funny story to tell if it weren’t my car that was being destroyed. Video this place and put it on America's Funniest Video’s!

Listen, I live close by the AutoBell on TW Alexander. I went there yesterday... FOR THE LAST TIME!!!
First of all the place has NO mature management. I'm so sick of irresponsible owners leaving me in the hands of in-mature college kids. It's really disagreeing with me overall. I'm getting to the point if I go into a restaurant or place of business and the first face I see greeting me is a pimple faced kid, I walk out. The experience typically does not get any better after that.
Imagine you own a business that generates $1MM per year in revenue. What kind of impression do you give by hiring a kid to be your welcome mat? C'mon folks! If you own a business, get someone who knows how to deal with an issue rather than text on an iPhone.
Sorry for the ramble, I'm just tired of the approach. I go yesterday to this TW Alexander AutoBell and ask the kid what the difference is between the three ""Manager Special"" signs posted at the entrance. He tells me and I decide to go for the $26.90 special. Next I ask him if they will vacuum the trunk. They do this for FREE at AUTO WASH EXPRESS on Six Forks and Strickland.
He says Trunk vacuum is $1.00 extra. WTF? OK, I pay it. Now again, I don't understand an owner that would leave a $MM operation in the hands of kids in the first place. Kids go with babysitting read more as to what I mean...
This kid concept extends to the idea that an operation leaves the helm to to kids that are responsible for caring for property in excess of $70K. I laugh at myself saying this, as how smart am I for taking my car there in the first place?
So they pull it up and open the doors and start vacuuming. I'm watching BC this kid charged me the extra buck for the trunk. It never even gets opened and they send it through the soapy touch-style brushing. So as it's going thru, I stroll back to the pay station and ask the kid, do they vacuum the trunk after it comes out and he says, no, before it goes in. DING! Wow there you go. Red flag number 1. As it comes out the other end? He tells me no, it was supposed to be done from the start. I just shake my head. So at the end, they jump in with a spray hose and start misting the inside windows down.
It comes out and some kid on the output side of the wash, starts rubbing the outside with 2 rags that were not clean. Used on several previous cars and observed to be thrown in the carts by other detailers. He then proceeds to use those same rags to wipe the inside windows. And didn't even rub the back window. No seats, no dash, no console, no mirrors, just windows. Oh Brother, I keep wanting to have a different experience when I go there, but I guess I just didn't feel like driving the little extra mile to the AUTO WASH EXPRESS on Strickland and Six Forks.
I was supposed to get tire shine, nope. Interior scent (new car) nope. I did make them vacuum the trunk. But folks, THIS IS THE LAST chance I'm giving this hole. I've been to this AutoBell at least 5 times and every time having similar experiences. I decided if I am going to pay $28.00 for this kind of effort, and STILL need to babysit, I am at least going to write about this last time visit and let others know.
I'd rather go some place cheaper, that does a more efficient job. From now on it's going to be AUTO WASH EXPRESS on Strickland and Six Forks.
For around $15.00 I get the wash, the wheels done, the tires, the interior, the dash, the windows, the trunk, the console the scent, the quality, the respect, the maturity, I expect (and I'm pretty sure it's touch-less wash too). I think I'm pretty much done with getting a ""paid"" experience dealing with kids. So AppleBees and Outback has been crossed off and now AutoBell has been added to the list.
Note: I'm not saying all help (if it happens to be kids under 25) is bad. But I can't argue with experience. Owners, either get a decent training program for your staff of start hiring experience tha

Beware !!! Pay Attention !!!!
On several occasions I have noticed that the crew member drying my car cleans remaining brake dust from my wheels and then PROCEEDS TO GRIND THE DUST INTO THE PAINT SURFACE of my car.....using the same rag !!!
Maybe they own a Paint & Body shop too ???
(They don't deserve the one star I'm forced to give !!)

Took my BMW to the Auto Bell on hwy 41 in Kennesaw Ga, with a Clear Windshield when it came out it had hundreds of dings in it. General manager never even looked at it while he was telling me that there is no way it happened there. I would never use them again. $1600.00 to replace.

I just stopped in at the new Autobell location on Falls of Neuse Rd. and have to say that my experience was exceptional! This new location is so clean and the employees are so friendly that I had a smile on my face for hours after leaving their parking lot. I've used a competitor wash in the area before and let's just say that they didn't convey the quality, nor the peace of mind I thought was needed through their appearance. From the moment that i drove on Autobell's lot, the feeling that I received was friendly and efficient. I was in and out in 10-15 and the quality was great! I'll just say that Autobell has earned my patronage for years to come!

I'm reviewing the AutoBell at McCullers Crossroads on 401 South. I don't usually write reviews or anything but I just have to tell somebody how bad their service is. I just wanted to get my car washed. It ended up costing me $25.00 and it actually looked worse than when I brought it in! AutoBell should be forced to take an oath like Doctors have to .... ""first of all, do no wrong"". What is the problem with this franchise? I think they have a good business model but, man oh man, have they EVER screwed it up. Uncaring
unsavorable employees who could give a flip about the looks of your car. (or truck).
People - I can tell ..... Don't AutoBell.

I've heard the jingle on the radio and you probably have also .... ""People can tell ... when you AutoBell""..... Yeah people can tell because your car/truck looks like $#%& when they are done with it.
I went to the AutoBell at McCullers Corners (401 and 10-10) because I was going to sell my truck and I wanted it to look good, and I especially wanted the wheels to look good because they are fancy chrome and the brake dust had dulled them. So I pulled into a parking spot and right-quick a fellow helped me open my door. He said ""Can I help you?"" I said, ""I hope so ... I'm selling my truck and need to get it washed but my main concern is getting the wheels cleaned and shiny like new"". He said, ""Ok sir, no problem"". I said, ""How much is it?"" He said, ""$21.95"". I said, ""Wow, there's a drive-through across the road, near the Food Lion, for 6 bucks"". He says, ""But we do a much better job"". I thought - ok, I'm trying to sell my truck so maybe it's worth it - so like an idiot I said, ""Ok"".
I got closer to the truck and saw that nothing - absolutely nothing - had been done to the wheels. I said, ""I told the guy I wanted the wheels cleaned more than anything else!"" This guy says, ""Let me see"". He wipes at them a second with a dry rag and says, ""it won't come off"". I was getting a little hot under the collar and I said, ""I just paid 22 bucks for nothing!"" and he said, (listen closely folks 'cause you will hear it often from AutoBell trained employees) ... he says (and I quote) ""Well I'm sorry you're not satisfied with the service you contracted for ..... "" I said, ""I contracted to have my wheels cleaned!"" .... and he said the exact same thing AGAIN. Like a friggin android! He handed me my keys and moved on to the next vehicle. I stood there for a few seconds, shook the cobwebs outta my head, and layed down a patch of rubber they are still trying to scrape up. ( note: I went home and got those wheels to shine like mirros with just a little Meguiers and elbow grease).

I've used this particular AutoBell location quite a few times because it's near my home. Not a single time have I been happy with the results. A bunch of kids work at this place and as soon as you pull up they're trying to open your car door and rush you out. They begin with interior vacuuming, which ALWAYS looks terrible. I ALWAYS have to ask them to re-vacuum and it still looks terrible. Also, I pay for the package that includes fragrance and on more than 1 occasion they just did not spray the frangrance. Make sure to watch your vehicle the entire time because these kids are rough---they jump in out of the car--accelerate and tap the brakes violently(while moving the car)with the driver door wide open--put their legs/knees on the seats--spary the window cleaner inside the car aimlessly--and this is what did it for me the last time I went.....I turned all the switches OFF before I got out of my vehicle, mainly I don't want the A/C running or CD player open for business when I'm not in the car...when I got back in my A/C had been turned ON and up full blast. Car detailers should NEVER EVER touch switches inside your vehicle for their pleasure. Finally, they always move the driver's seat and that just plain ticks me off because all they do is move the car 10 feet after the machine is finished washing it. I finally searched online for other auto detailers in this area, but there are none, unless I go out of my way. I tried a mobile detailing company, where they come to you. The cost is a little more, but the professionalism is worth every penny. Don't stop at AutoBell because it's the only carwash in your area or because it's on the way home, just keep driving! If you have a nice vehicle and want it to stay nice, locate a professional/ knowledgable/ experienced mobile detailer OR just go a little out of your way to find another detail shop and get your vehicle detailed correctly.

I'll never return to the Auto Bell on Millbrook Road in Raleigh. I feel they are very over priced for the level of service you receive. The back portion of my SUV was never cleaned or vacuumed. The windshield was not cleaned properly. The bumpers were still dirty. The armour all application was streaky and incomplete. I called their customer service line to voice a complaint. I was told a manager would call me back. But no such luck. I called again, but still no returned call by the manager.
Stay away and save your money.

I hadn't washed my pick-up truck for months because of the drought so I finally decided to go to the AutoBell at 8113 Fayeteville Rd. (McCullers). I drove up and two guys approached the truck, one opened the door and motioned me out. I started to get out and I said ""How much is it""? He said, ""Talk to him"" and pointed at the other guy. Guy1 got in the truck and started driving it throught the wash tunnel. Guy2 tried to talk me into AutoBell's $55 Special. (I'm looking at my truck already getting sprayed.) After the initial shock I finally got their cheapest ""special"" for $28.00 after he walked me inside to the register. I watched my truck go through the ""process"", watched them spray the tires with something and clean the inside. I was waved over and Guy1 says ""How does it look?"" I said, ""Good, except for all this dirt"". I showed him the filthy rails and fenders and he says - and I quote - ""Geez, I don't know how the machine missed all THAT!"" He tried to wipe off the dirt with a dry rag and scratched the hell out of my red Hemi! He looked embarrassed, I was mad - and as I stepped up into the cab I slipped and just about broke my neck because they had armor-alled the rubber area of my chrome step rails!
I hate being scammed and AutoBell is a scam folks Over-priced to the point of being a joke - a ""who knows what"" chemical mix being sprayed on your vehicle as the lovely signs light up, and a ""lick and a promise"" wipe down at the end.
Save your money and your vehicle. DO NOT GO TO AUTOBELL !!
