Great dry cleaners! I have been coming here for the past 5 years and never once encountered a problem.
Been meaning to write this review for some time so here it goes... GO TO THIS DRY CLEANER. My family took our clothes here when the location was convenient and they were just so great. We moved to North Raleigh and still make the extra drive because their service makes it worth it.So what really prompted me to write this review was the fact that the day before I was visiting Boston I realized I hadn't picked up my clothes. My flight was at 6 am the following morning and when I looked at the clock I realized it was a minute until closing time (on a Friday) and I was at least a 15 minute drive away. I called and they literally kept the shop open to wait for me to pick up my stuff. It's nice to see this level of customer service is still out there. The lady was smiling and sweet. They will always have my family as loyal customers!
DON”T TRUST BROTHERS CLEANERS!My family has used Brothers Cleaners exclusively for 43 years. Unfortunately this year several experiences lead us to switch. I brought my wedding gown to Brothers Cleaners to be cleaned and preserved. They returned it to me with wrinkles and new stains. I drew it to their attention and they send it back to the cleaner who then returned it with the same problems. I went over the details with the owner and we agreed to let the cleaner try one more time. When I received the wedding dress back the third time with wrinkles and stains that were not there when I gave the dress to them the manager and employees at the store agreed that it was in dismal shape that they would not accept themselves. I finally spoke with the owner Tom who wanted me to let the cleaner try again. I said that given my three experiences I did not want to do that and expected a full refund. He granted that. Afterwords I received a shirt back with a new hole in it. I again drew it to the store’s attention and they were more than gracious and understanding. They asked for the replacement value which was $165. The store manager called me and with embarrassment And stated that the owner Tom would like to give me only $80 as the shirt had been cleaned by them several times before. I told her at that point that my trust in the company’s integrity was broken. I spent over three months waiting for the dress to be preserved and gave them 3 tries with many unkept promises that the owner would call and me to Resolve the issue. I have always had exceptional service from the people at the N. Hills and Pleasant Valley stores-both managers and employees. However if this is the attitude Tom , the owner, I no longer trust them with my regular clothes much less treasured items. I hope this helps anyone else avoid a similar disappointment and damage to their heirlooms.
BEWARE!!! THEY STAIN CLOTHES! I brought in a white (brand new from Rag and Bones) short pants for dry cleaning, after I picked it up I saw a couple of streaks of blue stains. They took it back to be "redone" but they were not able to remove the stains. The manager offered NO apology and insisted that I return it to where I bought it and that the manufacturer should be able to reimburse me. SERIOUSLY?!!! How do you stain a white cotton shorts by dry cleaning?!!! It is their fault and they are giving me a run around on how I should get reimbursed. I have a lot of shorts (probably do not need a new one) so I'm letting this go. But I'm definitely not giving them more business and I really hope that Karma hits them where it hurts most!
This place is fantastic. highly recommend it. Tried other places and there is a big difference in quality. Had a button missing and forgot to tell them about it but to my surprise, they fixed it!
Updated review: from 5 stars down to 1 star because of crushed sleeve buttons on several suit shirts. I recently moved across town and therefore needed to find a new dry cleaners and this location worked well for me. Took sixteen pieces or so to be dry cleaned, separate suit pieces as wells as button down shirts and a few blouses. Was pleased with the staff and pricing, and think everything was ready in 2-3 days, don't recall exactly but it was in fact quick turnaround. Everything looked crisp and clean, didn't inspect too closely when I picked the items up but was generally pleased after a quick once-over so when I received a review request from Medlin-Davis Cleaners the next day I responded positively giving 5 stars. Well, I am now changing my opinion because today I came across my third button-up Banana Republic shirt that has crushed sleeve buttons. I am so disappointed and will now need to spend more money to have my suit shirts tailored and new buttons sewn on. Extremely disappointed, I've never had this happen with any other dry cleaners I've used.
I've been coming here for a couple of months and enjoyed coming here. Then today I experienced favoritism. One patron was allowed to occupy 8 dryers, when I used the biggest washing machines to was my loads I was told I can only use 4 dryers. I see the favoritism and will be opting to just buy a washer and dryer. I don't need to be told something like that when I'm paying a lot of money to wash clothes in the first place. Then the bossman couldn't even tell me himself he sent an employee to tell me. Not professional. I'm standing here with wet clothes and anticipate I will be here longer than necessary.
Terrible. Dropped off 6 shirts got back 4. They will only pay 10 their charge for cleaning which means we get like 15 bucks per shirt which by the way cost closer to 75. Do not go here. Paying more somewhere else would be worth and is exactly what I intend to do.
This first class cleaners, my cloths are handle with the most care,,sometimes I am a little late getting there for the same day service ,still get my cloths before closing, What can I say Outstanding Owners and service !!!
Not responsive to simple instructions. My dress has pleats. They said they can't handle pleats. But they sure took my money. I will get a refund. Manager not there but leaves a very young person in charge.
