I have a complaint filed with BBB due to a extreme misrepresentation of metal roofing and supplies to roof an area over my garage. After having Bruce with Crown roofing come out, see the job, do his measurements, take half the money down...The order was delivered - and not a single piece long enough to do the job and missing all the "special pieces needed for installation". There is no part of the deal that we shook on, that has actually been dependable or where he kept his word. Further, he shows no remorse for having "stuck it to a single mom who made very clear my financial budget". He has made promises to come pick it up and return the money...none has came to fruition and now he simply refuses to return a phone call. This has been ongoing since May of this year. I would not recommend this company based off of lack of ethics, lack of trustworthiness, lack of honesty, lack of dependability...Nothing less than robbery or thievery. I have a pile of unusable material and out $2000 until BBB helps out. This saddens me to ever provide such negative feedback but consumers need to know who they are dealing with.

I was extremely happy with Dana Dean and found him honest and most professional.I really did my homework on roofers after noticing a leak on our upstairs ceiling. I wanted to get 3 quotes, because roofs are vitally important. I looked on Angie's List, YELP, and other reviews before setting up quotes. Many roofers want to charge to come out, which discourages quotes. Charging for quotes is good for their company, but bad for the consumer. I advise not to consider roofers who charge for estimates. I only considered roofers who offered free quotes.Upon giving a quote, Dana came out by himself (not another worker like the others), and was quite professional. He spent time on my roof. He came back and said it would cost $325 to repair my vent pipe. Other quotes I got were $250, but one roofer didn't have Worker's Comp, and the other didn't show up for an appointment. Dana showed me pictures of rusted nails popping up, uplifted flashing, a shingle up which exposed some wood... all normal wear and tear. He said it wasn't extensive and he could fix all for $625. My gut reaction was to trust him. I hired him, he came quickly and on time, and did good work. I was very pleased.If you're looking for a roofer, I'd STRONGLY suggest DANA DEAN.
To start, he was more than half an hour late and did not let me know he would be. Then he tried to get more money out of me by saying a toilet part needed replacing. The part he was referring to was fine before. The worst thing he did was to take $20 from me. When I gave him his money, I told him I overpaid him and asked for the $20 back. As I reached to take the money back, he pulled away and kept it all.
Our home was damaged by hail early June 2016. After our insurance company accessed the damage, several roofing companies checked out the damage. Aspen Contracting was by far the most professional. The roof is beautiful, the workers were great, our project manager, Mary, did a great job of working with us, and I would have Aspen do any other work for us that we need (don't anticipate having to have more work done, as they did a great job already).And a bonus was they cleaned the gutters and the yard so everything looked so great.
RIP OFF. Talked me out of $2100 making my roof leak repair sound like large job. After no more than 2.5 hours of work they finished there patch job. I thought that was a quick $2100 but that's ok because they have a " lifetime warranty" on the repaired areas. Well the areas they patched still leak and William had some lame excuses why he would not warrantied his work and now wants $3500 to try again. DO NOT USE RALEIGH ROOFERS. RIP OFF.
Many thanks to Dana Dean for the work his company didn’t do! I thought I was in for a big roof repair :-( but Mr Dean came out and after a lot of investigation, patient hosing the roof, etc, etc, he diagnosed the problem as not in the roof at all. He not only didn’t charge for the inspection, he gave me some professional caulking and instructions on how to do the repair. I’m a retiree and a “little old lady”: contractors and salesmen have been known to try to pressure me into unneeded work and products. So I was pleased and grateful for Mr Dean’s kindly, professional help :-)
