Impressive! Chanel W at Style Ahead Designs made it happen! The blow-out and color was exactly what I wanted, and more! What I found most impressive was her integrity. One cannot always guarantee if a beautician will take precautions to ensure his or her customer maintains healthy hair after a chemical procedure. Chanel is NOT like that! Chanel W was true to her own words when she said, “I most enjoy bringing damage hair back to its healthy state." Chanel is a good example of a beautician with skills and integrity! Chanel went the extra mile, she used styling techniques to prevent damage to my hair! She advised me on healthier ways to maintain my hair too! I was very pleased! Ms. V got skills too! Let's not forget to tip her! I'm told she trained Chanel W and other beauticians at Style Ahead Designs.I notice a lot of positives about this salon. I was impressed by the other beauticians' tenacity and precision for weaving and styling their customers' hair. In other words, ladies, they were making sure it was done right and looked Good! What a JOKE!!!! This place sucks!They have you make appointments and they never start on time. They always start on your hair at least an hour after they were supposed to. It Always take 6+ hours for finish. They are EXTREMELY RUDE! They clearly talk about their customers using their Gully language. Youcan tell because they are looking at the person and laughing when talking to each other!! And their englishis really hard to understand. Totally UNPROFESSIONAL! They are NOT friendly and cheerful to see you. All of the braiders appear to be under 20 years old and have no idea what good customer service is!! They absolutely try to overcharge you! They give you one price over the phone and and another one when you show up.They want you to PAY UP FRONT!!! They only professional thing about this place is the BS youtube commercial. They spent money for this commercial becausetheir service SUCKS! If you have a good product and respect your customers you don't have to spend moneyon BS commercials! Also notice that they don't allow you to rate them on youtube!! You can see that there are at least 2 complaints on youtube but not one thumbs down rating!! The reason is that they have disabled that option. If you go to this place YOU WILL REGRET IT!! But don't take my word. Go by there and witness for yourself! Thencome back to this site and comment.
Mama did a great job! She did my hair very good and I was well pleased. Before we started I explained that I suffer from migraines and not to braid to tight and she listened. My hair is NOT sore and is still neat. I am always pleased when the stylist listens to the customer instead of ignoring them. I was in and out in No time. I'll be back!!!!

I got my twist 2 weeks ago. If I would've known what I know now I would have never spent 170 on getting my hair done. First off I got there at 1:30 I didn't leave until 8. I ended up getting havana twist. Horrible idea. 4 days into having them I got out the shower & 2 of my braids came out. And just yesterday 3 of my braids came out. Aside from that. When I went in the shop I there were girls laying down in the front that worked there. No one greeted me. My head was hurting for a couple of days because how tight everything was. The girl that was doing my hair took a 25 min break to go eat & she had just started my hair. I was told to pay in the beginning. The women were arguing with their customers. Nothing about this shop is professional. I'm never going back there again.
Horrible.......Run dont walk when you even start thinking about it. poor customer service , pathetic weave job, staff argue with customers in front of other customers, make u pay cash upfront reason being " credit card machine is not working . really.......... It needs to close down Asap.
SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT COME HERE. These people are extremely rude, short-tempered and unprofessional. They ran out of supplies and told me to go buy my own, they then proceeded to wash my hair with one, cheap, shampoo and did not use anything else. With no conditioner or warm water they left my hair extremely dry and tangled. The next lady who served me was annoyed that my hair was tangled and made it seem as though it was my fault. They kept rushing me around and snapping at me to get my attention from the other side of the room. They then would treat me like a child and would start to raise their voices when i couldn't understand them through their accents. When we had trouble communicating it was quite obvious that they were talking badly through their gestures and facial expressions and making fun of me in another language. Then when it came time to pay they failed to inform me ahead of time that their ATM machine was broken and they would only accept cash. When we (my aunt and i) tried to understand why i wasn't informed of the payment info, they proceeded to raise their voice and lie. They said i was informed of the new rule and when i corrected them and called them out on their lie they all shut down and realized that i would not be walked over. These people had horrible attitudes and awful customer service. They are rude, unprofessional, and then finished product is worse than what i walked in with. DO NOT come here. Shave your head before you let them touch your hair.
Had an appointment only to be told after waiting 10 minutes that the woman that would be doing my hair would be late and could I come back tomorrow?.. What makes them think I would carve time out of my day again, find a babysitter, take off work, prep my hair only to possibly be sent home again because they lack good business practices or consideration. No thanks. There are too many other hard working braiding shops....please skip this one!
Sarah was my stylist and she was very nice and professional. She was braiding too tight I told her and she loosened up without hesitation or an attitude. I love the service.
I really struggle with leaving this review because I do not like leaving negative reviews. However if I can save someone from what I've gone through I'm more than willing to share my experience. I went to the salon for goddess faux locs I was originally quoted one price and was told hair would be provided. After getting to the salon and waiting an hour I was informed I would have to purchase my own hair. My stylist told me I couldn't get the hairstyle I wanted because my hair was too soft. I had exchange my hair the salon kept the hair they open. I ended up getting regular faux locs. The process didn't take long but I repeatedly ask the stylist not to make it so tight. My hair was painfully sore. 5 days later I was looking at my hair my scalp was still swollen and full of sores, some bleeding. I'm taking my hair out because it's not worth it. Ladies please save your money and go somewhere else.
