Visited this center once and wont again. The doctor and front desk were nice, However the woman in charge of payment methods was absolutely horrid and rude. We had an insurance company that had not yet provided us with a card but a temporary paper to use until our card was mailed to us. When the front desk did not recognize this paper they sent out the woman in charge of payments, who refused to even look at the paper and says, and I quote, "No, I dont look at papers." and looked at us like we had some kind of plague. She wouldnt even let us try to explain what our papers were. We of course paid in cash (which is not an issue for us thankfully) for that one appointment, and decided to take out business elsewhere to people who WOULD look at our papers, did take the time to call and ask about them, and give us treatments. If kelly eye center does hear about this I do hope they are kicking themselves, because the insurance form you chose to not even read covers every single thing. And I do mean everything. :) We have taken thousands and thousands of dollars worth of business to a neighboring clinic. Hopefully they are more considerate to future possible patients.

Overall, the visit was very good. Although I had an appointment twice and on both occasions I still had to sit an extra 20-30 minutes waiting to be …
Dr. Kelly performed PRK (laser corrective surgery) on both of my eyes about six weeks ago. I opted for the procedure in hopes of freeing myself from contacts lenses and glasses. While nervous at first, Dr. Kelly, his partner Dr. Smolenyak and their staff made me confident that I had a good chance of eliminating my need for corrective eye wear. I elected to proceed with the surgery and the results were amazing! I'm 20/15 (better than 20/20) with both eyes. I was pretty blurry at first and had some mild to moderate irritation/ tearing for a couple days. It was totally worth it. I see better now than I ever did with my contacts. The hardest part of the whole experience has been getting used to NOT putting in/ taking out my contacts. What a fun habit that has been to break. Dr. Kelly and his team were informative, reassuring and professional throughout my evaluation, procedure and post-operative appointments. Thanks so much.
Not impressed with Kelly Eye Center for cataract surgery. They treat their patients like a commodity, no personal touch at all. They rush you thru don't answer questions, don't submit ALL the charges to your insurance company just the ones they know will be covered. In fact it's not their job to make that decision and I suspect from comparing my the charges to the insurance charges that they in fact submitted some of the charges but charged me cash on top. Particularly suspicious is the $500 charge that was submitted to my insurance and paid but I paid $500 cash for the laser. The paper trail doesn't match. And let's not even get started on the under-the-table $300 paid (per eye) to my optometrist for recommending Kelly to me. Avoid this crew!
I have been going to Dr. Nancy Mackowsky for over eight years now. Besides her being professional, amazing, and awesome, and she know the latest knowledge and techniques when comes to eye care both in vision, contact lenses and behavioral. . Furthermore, she had done some tremendous work with patients who have had visual problems. All I know is for years, I had many visual problems that I was not aware of and she was able to help me better myself through vision therapy. . In the meanwhile, due to the fact that I had some visual issues that I was born with and overtime I was able to work the problem and was able to bring my visual up to par. Thanks Dr. Mackowsky.
Overall, the visit was very good. Although I had an appointment twice and on both occasions I still had to sit an extra 20-30 minutes waiting to be seen. I know they offer walk-in service, however, I don't think appointments should run that far behind when they're trying to balance walk-ins versus appointments. That's WHY I set an appointment...to keep to my personal schedule. That aside, they accept the major vision insurances, are very professional and knowledgeable and they work very good in conjunction with LensCrafters (I'll be buying a pair of 'backup glasses' in addition to my contacts. I'd highly recommend!
We won't be back. Scheduled an 8:45 appointment and did not get seen for 25 minutes. Demanded that I wait for another 25 minutes with my 15 year old in an empty office while the doctor got around to finishing the visit. This isn't a cancer diagnosis...I think a 15 year old can handle it. No respect for our time. No apology for the delay. Not a place to go if you have job/family.
Dr. McCormick has always been very attentative and professional. He makes sure all of my questions have been answered. The reviews previously posted are quite old. He has gotten a different staff since I began seeing him, and they are quite pleasant. I will continue to see Dr. McCormick because of his caring nature and professionalism.
I had a very pleasant experience with my son today at their store. Previously, I was loyal to Sears Optical, but found the Eye Care Center surpasses them in all areas. The employees were friendly and accommodating and the prices were very reasonable. I would recommend them again without a doubt.
Tired of wearing glasses that didn’t do much to correct my myopia, I finally went to Dr. Travers for LASIK. I would highly recommend her, she’s extremely kind and courteous, and did a wonderful job explaining to me all of the pros and cons of the procedure.
I agree with the last post and would like to add that I was amazed at the specials they had going on while I was there. I was also impressed at the knowledge and expertise. I will definitely recommend this office to my friends, family, and others.
