At Your Bark and Meow

Do you want you pet around cigarette smoke & come home smelling like it instead of freshly groomed? I don't and had a Horrible experience - wis I could rae w/ NO stars! Brought my cat in @ 10am to be shaved; informed them he doesn't need a bath or nails clipped (declawed)-just shaved. This was his 1st time & if they need anything to give me a call. They put him in a kennel - no liter box or water. I called a 1pm they requested another hr because they haven't gotten to him yet (3 hrs sitting in the kennel - no liter box or water). I arrived around 2:15; upon entering 2 individuals were smoking inside the building in the area they shave the pets & have the kennels. The groomer stated that my cat became aggressive & she as unable to shave him. I stated he's not used to being in kennel nor being around cigarette smoke. At that point she opened the front door stating "oh it's nice out, we should have the door open." I asked why it took so long? They stated because they give them a bath, they need to dry, & then they are shaved. I replied - he didn't get a bath was only here to be shaved. I inquired if they wanted to try & finish since I was there (my cat has 2-3 shave marks in his fur). She stated no, he won't cooperate.
When I left I could smell cigarette smoke on my clothes, so why would anyone want to pay for there pet to be bathed only to smell like cigarettes? I believe City ordinance does not allow smoking in businesses (they are located in a strip mall), so why are they getting away with it?

I love this place, We have a cocker spaniel and he needs groomed around every 3 months, which can get a little expensive, but they have the best price, and do a spectacular job!!!! They definately take the time to do it right :) They are all really friendly and are so sweet to my dog when we walk in the door(even though he pees on their floor every time I take him in :) lol) , they even made him a bandana for a Christmas Present, I can't imagine taking him any where else :)!!!!!

After trying numerous places in Racine and kenosha for our little Lhasa Apso we took him here and Kim cut him, She does as good a job or better than everyone else we've seen. They are very personable and have gotten to know us by name. We now have 3 dogs and they all go to here. The prices are lower than anyone that Ive been to. I recommend to anyone needing a groomer.
