So we were staying at the Rodeway Inn in Spring Hills Lake George NY off of Route 9n. I stayed with my grandson who is 17 months old, parents are non smokers, my teenage daughter and her friend, both 14 years old sleeping. I was awoken by loud shouting, fighting, and a strong skunk odor of marijuana in my room. So strong it made me nausuas. My grandson was in a small port crip and if I could get sick from the smell, Im sure at 27 months old, he was overcome with the smell. I had to call my children back from thier night out, relaxing whiile I babysat. Our prior plan was to have the girls babysit for a few hours, but I felt a bad feeling, so I stayed. From one o clock on, the people next door screamed, yelled smoke cigs, did cocaine, kept smoking so much marijuana the room was unbearable. Shortly after my daughter returned to our room, I told her i wanted to leave in the am and she agreed but now it was 4 am and the occumpents were still doing all of the above, we called the front dest, over and over went downstairs but noone available. so we called the State Police as we felt unsafe. The police came, we told them we wanted to make a statement get interviewed, they went in the room, questioned the occupants briefly, and upon leaving witnessed three others going in the room, but said nothing. as soon as the police left we heard more increased raucus, and admission of drugs in the room through the walls. We actuALLY HAVE recordings of the occupants laughing making fun of the State police. so We had to call back because not the walls were shaking, and they occumpants next door were yelling.. fighting.. my grandson woke up twice through all of this. We called back to the State Police, and a lady by the last name, Snuffaluffagus said she wasnt going to pull the police out to "deal with us", and that if we thought the child was in danger, leave the hotel.. at 4 am with a sleeping child, in the chilly air, AND SAID they had jurisdiction over anything as in a hotel its a private matter talk to management who was not available.. and left.. said we couldnt file a complaint nothing
and later confirmed by management they dealth with a similar problem last week with the state police..
when people not staying at the hotel dumped huge bags of dark plastic bags.. the State Police were called, and teh police told the manager, nothing they could do even if it were dead body parts in the dumpster..
