Why can't I get a clear understanding BEFORE I GO TO THE DENTIST, of just how much dental implants will cost or even ask a question such as are "partial" dental implants a possibility, such as having implants on the bottom and a plate on top?

There are several reasons why it may be difficult to get a clear understanding of the cost of dental implants before going to the dentist:

  1. Every patient's case is unique, and there are several factors that can influence the cost of dental implants, including the number of implants required, the type of implant used, the need for additional procedures like bone grafting, and the geographic location of the practice.
  2. Dentists typically need to evaluate a patient's specific situation before they can provide an accurate estimate. This may involve taking X-rays and examining the patient's teeth and gums to determine the best approach.
  3. Dental insurance coverage can also play a role in the cost of dental implants, and every insurance plan is different. Dental offices may not have access to a patient's specific insurance information until the patient comes in for an appointment.

Regarding partial dental implants, this is certainly a possibility and something that a dentist may recommend based on a patient's needs. It's important to discuss all options with your dentist and ask any questions you may have to make an informed decision about your dental care.
